Awww bless

Good morning, everyone. Weather is dry, with a strong, icy cold wind.
Summer, I'm glad you are having another day off work. It's for the best.
Bill paying, housework and ironing awaits!
Have a good day, everyone.
Good morning everyone
At present it's sunny here but the forecast is for rain from mid-day.
My brother rang last night to say he was back from his holiday in Copenhagen and had a pleasant time. No doubt he will bring his holiday snaps with him when he comes here at Easter.
Good morning everyone, it's lovely here this morning but we are due for rain later like you EL.
Enjoy your rest day Summer, time to fully recover, I hope your mum has a great birthday.
I liked Copenhagen when I was there, we went there with the school ages ago. I remember the Tivoli Gardens and the statue of The Little Mermaid. The photos should be very interesting EL.
Have a good day everyone
Happy Birthday, Summer's Mum.
I would never have thought of going Copenhagen, but I've had a look at the tourist info site and it seems like an interesting place to visit.
It's the second time my brother has been to Copenhagen so he and his friend must have thought it was worth revisiting.
Good afternoon Buddies wavey:
Yogi, bill paying..I feel your pain
El, glad your brother is home safely and that he had such a good time. Those piccies will be great to see
Sweet, I hope your are feeling much better today Oh! Happy Birthday Sweets mum
For Sweets mum..
Squiggle, hope you have a good day
Sunshine and showers here. Roll on summer
Back later
I've paid the bill, done the ironing and most of the housework.
Hi Moonie, I hope you are staying indoors in the warm.
Summer, I hope your aunt Bessie's roast potatoes are nicer than the McCann frozen ones which I found rather bland and dry. I'm glad you felt able to get outside for some fresh air and have a short walk with Bramble.
I've paid the bill, done the ironing and most of the housework.
Hi Moonie, I hope you are staying indoors in the warm.
Was you when you paid your bill Yogi?
I had to go out to get bread but I picked a time when the sun was out, in between the showers so was okay
*samples a piece of Birthday cake before Sweet scoffs the lot*
Pleased you managed to take Bramble out for a walk Sweet. You must indeed feeling a little better
I have done all I intend to do today
*is interested in the aforementioned aunt Bessie's*

It was a credit card bill and I always put the money away as I buy things, so I wasn't too .
Glad you are feeling well enough for a walk with Bramble, Summer.

I would worry myself sick if I was spending money I didn't have.
I think it's sorted but I realised fairly soon after I got the new computer that there was a small C drive (64 Gb) and the large D drive (1 Tb). I also have the external drive (2 Tb) but that's not relevant. As we know with computers, the default drive for installing new programs is the C drive. Although one can override that you have to remember to do that which can be easily forgotten.
So I mentioned that to the people in the local computer shop where I bought it and they said that was easy to resolve, just by departitioning the drive. Their tech guy would pop round to my house and do it, it will only take a minute.
So he came this afternoon to do it. He soon realised that there were 2 drives in the computer, the small C drive and the large D drive. So departioning the drives was not an option. The C drive is a SSD drive which is ultra fast and is intended for the core Windows software and is not intended for general programs. That's why it's so fast to boot up when I turn the computer on.
So the tech guy tried to change my computer profile so that programs would automatically get installed on the D drive rather than the C drive. He couldn't get that to work. So in the end he created a new profile for me which would have the desired effect. We had to re-do things like destop icons, email access, contacts on email. He deleted the old profile setting my new profile as administrator.
So that one minute visit actually was a bit over an hour. (No mention was made of me being charged for that and I wouldn't have expected to be charged as they should have done this before I got the machine. To be fair, this was the first time they had dealt with this model.
after he left I checked that the accounts software I had installed yesterday was still working OK and found that it wasn't. I worked out for myself that I needed to grant administrator access to the program to be able to get it to work and it now does seem to work as it should.
It just goes to show that it was worth getting the computer from the local shop rather than from say PC World or via online as it would have taken far longer to get this sorted out. It also helps that I'm reasonably computer literate and that I got the computer at a relatively non busy time of year so this hasn't caused work problems.
Oh El, that sounds very complicated to a technophobe like me. Thank goodness you are computer savvy and were able to get them to sort it out.
My post was a long post
Yogi, my credit card bills are paid automatically. I just need to make sure I have enough in the bank to cover them. As I have online access to my accounts I can just transfer money to and from my current account and the savings account instaneously.

My credit card is the only bill I actually go and pay (in my local branch of my bank), everything else is paid by Direct Debit. It would be easier if I set up a DD for it, but I have just never gotten round to it.

Do you have an HDD or SSD El?
Mine came with the former but had it changed to the latter because it makes the whole lappy run fast and less to go wrong too
Yeeeeeeeeeeeey! whoo hooo!
Well done Mr Summer

Yes.
Summer, my credit card bill for March will, as you can guess, be somewhat more than ÂĢ300 but that's because of buying the new computer and also the annual cost of renewing my accounting software. I have the money, so there's no problem.
Enjoy!
Its fooooooooooooooooooood time
Enjoy Sweet
Enjoy!
