There are little signs that Spring is on its way. Snowdrops and crocuses in the garden are blooming and the daffodils are about to bloom too.

It's amazing how those little flowers survive, in spite of the drenching they've had in recent months. Hopefully, we'll get a decent summer.

On the news I saw some daffodils growing under water today. All you could see was the flower heads above the water

 They must be determined little flowers.

I have to say i have never seen the likes of it before...

I put a tiny pot with dwarf daffodils into the greenhouse and forgot about them for months - no water or anything - and they still grew and bloomed. They must be really hardy plants.

I think I'll plant a few more daffodil and crocus bulbs this autumn, as their little splash of colour does brighten things up.

We have loads alongside the pavement in the park at the bottom of the road. They are about to bloom

They are about the only thing that is safe around here

 It's the same all over, Moonie. In our village, they used to steal the bulbs out of the Christmas tree lights from the tree in the village square. They can't remove the ones they use now.

Summer does have a busy life and gets up early to walk Bramble, so I'm not surprised she sometimes Churchills on us. I'd keel over if I tried to do a quarter of what she does.

I agree Yogi. I would in a coma with that sort of lifestyle

 There are times when I wish I had more energy, then other times I like the slower pace of life that old middle age allows.

Looks as if it will be a cloudy day here but mainly dry until tonight.

 

Locally, the cherry trees are starting to blossom so that's another sign that Spring is at long last arriving

 

Squiggle, no, I don't have a garage and it would be difficult to have one without losing the back garden.

Watching BBC Breakfast weather and it looks like there may be some improvement next week.

El, I love when the cherry trees are in bloom. They are so beautiful, it's a shame the blossom doesn't last a while longer.

Ironing and grocery shopping are my chores for today. I'll bring back cake.
