It is very rare for the Nothern Lights to be visible as far south as Gloucestershire but it can happen. The sun is at the height of solar activity after a very quiet period but they don't expect a repeat performance of the Northeen Lights tonight.

Great photos EL, I knew you could get green but I never knew you could get pink too.

 

Driving home yesterday I was driving right into the most vivid rainbow, I managed to count all the colours from red right through to violet, very unusual.

Squiggle, both the rainbow and the Northen Lights knew it was my birthday so they were celebrating

I've just had a phone call from a local man (not a client) looking for advice. He had received a phone call, supposedly from the government, saying that they had £4,000 to pay him for a PPI claim and would send a courier to him. Obviously not my area of work but I said this sounded very suspicious and was probably fraudulent. They would want money from him and there would be no £4,000. It related to a bank loan he had a couple of years ago (he couldn't remember any such loan). I suggested he could ring his bank and also report it to the ActionFraud people.

 

This sounds a bit different from the usual ttype of PPI phone call so I thought I would mention it here.

 

Why would the government be involved in a PPI claim? Definitely sounds dodgy, I think you did the right thing, telling him to report it. If a 'courier' does turn up at his door, he ought to note the registration number, and tell him to be very careful about signing for things, too.

As I said to the man if something sounds too good to be true then it's not.

It's great when you have a nice working environment and nice colleagues.

Busy is good - think of the pennies.

I did some housework, some ironing and some banking today. Hubby is on a night out with work colleagues so I treated myself to a Chinese takeaway. Sweet and sour chicken with fried rice.

I'm watching the new series of Jonathan Creek. Not liking the new wifey character. She is featuring too much and the actress always reminds me of a fish, for some strange reason.

The locks will be going on before she gets the chance. I can remember the time her dad decided to empty the fridge - smashed eggs everywhere!

 When my hip was bad, I was seriously considering going up and downstairs on my butt.

DiL didn't mention any more teeth when I saw her on Wednesday, but I'll find out tomorrow.

How's your physio exercises going yogi?

Most definitely not

I'm finding them easier now and they are definitely strengthening the muscles. Physio says they can't do anything to help the arthritis but the strengthened muscles take some of the strain off the hip joint. The hip joint still seizes on me at times but there isn't much they can do about that.
