I was jo king!
But now I'm Nosmo King (yes, that ancient one )

squiggle, I was taking you extremely seriously as I take every post ever posted on this forum very seriously. I read them several times over, then ponder over them for a long time, and then if appropriate make a very serious reply. Then I take another tablet

I've seen the BBC news now so have seen what's happened in South Cornwall. Per the BBC: Bodmin, Luxulyan, Lostwithiel, Mevagissey, Par, St Austell, St Blazey and St Blazey Gate have been badly affected.

From what I've read, at least 250 properties around this area have been flooded. At present the main concern seems to be whether the rising tide will destroy a bridge at Lostwithiel.

At least, squiggle, you're not in the worst affected area. Of course for me, this brings back memories of July 2007 when after over 5 inches of rain in 16 hours over Gloucestershire and to the north, when the flood waters in the Severn and the Avon (the one that runs through Gloucestershire) met at Tewkesbury, the result was very serious. Gloucester is only a few miles south of Tewkesbury, and the combined rivers run through it. The water treatment works are at the river in Tewkesbury, and the flood waters swamped those works meaning that for a few weeks we were without tap water. And at Gloucester, the main electricity generating station is close to the river. I know that the flood water got within half an inch of knocking that station out. If that had happened, then that would have resulted in the biggest mass evacuation since the Blitz. And of course hundreds of homes were flooded - I personally know 20 people locally who were flooded. It took at least a year for people to be able to move back in their houses, and for some it was more like 2 years.

I have one word to say FINISHED!!!!!
Well done Squiggle.  NEVER had any doubts that you would complete your task.

Seems to have been lots going on in here today that I have not been party too.  Sorry I've missed out (story of my life really)!!!   Just carry on without me.

Probably won't be back later but will, hopefully, catch up with you all tomorrow.

reminder for Yogi , sorry was reading back, keeping up myself
Ah I see. Yes thanks, the fusebox was fitted with no problems at all.
Last Christmas Eve, all of the downstairs ceiling lights went out and we discovered the fusebox was on it's last legs, so this was hubby finally getting round to having it replaced. I hasten to add, we had a qualified electrician do the work - hubby would have blown up the house, if he had tried.

Sorry your wee granddaughter has been in the wars but I'm glad she's alright.
My eldest needed a season ticket for A&E when he was young - if he wasn't falling downstairs and getting stitches in his head, he was getting whacked with a hockey stick (accidentally) and getting a broken nose, or breaking his arm when he fell awkwardly during a basketball game. Thankfully, he's no longer sporty.
Has your son been helping to decorate his room, or have you been doing it all yourself?
