Wow EL that's an expensive shredder
Yes, but mine is meant for small business use rather than for personal use. In the course of a year, I will probably need to shred say 5 foot of paper, and that's a lot of sheets of paper. And because I am dealing with confidential information, the recycling paper bank is not an option - I don't think my clients would be too happy if their tax return was found.

Good morning on another cold foggy day. It may be blue sky above, but it's foggier today than yesterday and could last quite a long time.

Hi Skylark and Justafriend

Hi Joyron, though you'll still be fast asleep as it'n not 10 yet

Hi squiggle, good luck with your mission

Hi Yogi, fill up a kettle and boil it before the electrician comes, so you've got hot water whilst the electricity is off

Good morning everyone.    I can assure you El Loro that yesterday's little lapse is not the norm for me. I'm normally up and about well before 9.00 am.

It is really cold and frosty here this morning but the sun is shining nicely so hopefully the frost will soon disappear.  Hope I won't need to scrape it all off my car before I go to the shops.

Don't work too hard on your task today Squiggle.  It's a pity more people did not offer to help.    Hope all goes well with the fuse box replacement Yogi.  Will speak again later.

Joyron
A quick hi to everyone before I dash off again.  I am doing 10 CD's before breakfast good luck with your fusebox change Yogi, make sure to stay warm.  I can't go out even if I wanted to as they are digging up our lane to put down the pipes for the BT fibre optics all week, so at least I am making the most of the time spent in by putting it to good use.  Hope to speak later.
squiggle
squiggle, I reckon you'll be able to get the BT superfast broadband by the end of the year in your area, so if you want to, you'll be able to be the fastest Buddy of all and become speedy squiggle

In my area, there is no sign that my area will be upgraded, certainly not until 2012 at the earliest. Cheltenham will be by the end of next year, but Gloucester (10 miles apart) tends to be seen as the poor relation, so lower in priority.

Official statistics for earnings show that out of 324 councils, Gloucester is in 209th place, compared to the surrounding areas: Tewkesbury 78, Cheltenham 81, Stroud 103, Cotswolds (which would cover Cirencester) 112, and Forest of Dean at 188. I also discovered some years ago that the average income of people in Gloucester is 20% less than the average for Gloucestershire, and those statistics above support that.

I know that there are areas in this country which are considerably poorer than Gloucester, but there are pockets of real poverty in Gloucester. Any visitor to the town centres of Gloucester and Cheltenham would soon see the difference between the two places.

And if you needed real evidence of poverty in Gloucester there is this Open Door centre based from Gloucester. Yes, we have a soup kitchen and emergency food supplies. Our church is a regular provider of help to them and another local organisation.

I thought you probably did

It's still cold down here, and although the fog has lifted, there is still some around. But by tomorrow, we'll be moaning about how wet it is. It's either too hot, or too cold, or too wet, or too dry, or too windy, or too foggy, or too snowy, or too icy, or too cloudy, or it's too sunny and we can't see where we're going

Glad its all done and done with Yogi
Likewise
At least they did it whilst it was light.

squiggle, well done - almost there. At our church, I'm a low profile high profile hybrid which seems a contradiction. As I was the treasurer for 25 years, that is a backroom job, but almost meant that I got used to speaking in public at annual general meetings. And I'm quite a chatty person and can talk with anyone. But if I was called on to do a reading in church I would fall to pieces.

Assume by your comments that you have looked at the replies El Loro.
I couldn't possibly comment.

Yes, I've worked out a way of having little text as you can see.

You cannot leave us not knowing how to do that!!!
It's quite simple really. Do a post reply as normal, then when you want to use small print position the cursor to a new line, then click Cancel. Highlight any bit of a post (don't change the page) as if you were going to quote it. Click Reply - your existing reply is still there and at the end is the quote that you've just created. Use the backspace to get rid of the quote, the box, and get rid of eference leaving the first R. Next to the R type what you want, this will all be in small text, then go back and get rid of that R. Now Submit Reply.

I'm not sure if there is a simple way of going back to normal size after the small size in the same post though - I haven't tried.

Good morning everyone.    Thought I would pop in early this morning just to prove I can get out of bed before 10.00 am!!

It's dull here today but no frost.  I see from the news there is a lot of water down your way Squiggle, although it may not have reached you yet.

Just as with politics I have "quite" strong views about the Royal Family and have promised myself I will not get involved with any threads which I cannot agree with.  Better to stay away completely.

Be back later.  Going back to bed now!!

There is no easy way to do large or blinking text. You cannot do it from the ordinary Post Reply screen, but have to click on the Toggle WYSIWYG option and do it there. But I have to use HTML codes to do what I did. HTML is the progamming language used behind the scenes to show everything on these forum pages. It should only be used by people who really have some knowledge of programming as any mistakes could easily wreck the thread page making it unreadable for others.

What I did was at the simple end of HTML, but it would be irresponsible of me to start going into details here. I know that Charlisocks must know something about HTML as her posts use a font that no-one else does.
