 Aww.

My boys used to jump out on me to give me a fright - scared the living daylights out of me.

Goodnight Summer, I hope you sleep well and feel better in the morning.

Yep, suits me

 That's good.

Going to turn in now, goodnight Moonie, sweet dreams.

Goodnight Yogi. Sleep well and have sweet dreams

Moonie

Good morning everyone, similar weather here to you EL.  Hope all goes well with the shopping and ironing Yogi.

I have had a similar problem to you moonie.  The plumber came yesterday to clear my blocked downstairs loo, he cleared the blockage but had to remove the toilet pan to do it and is coming back in a minute to re-set the toilet again.  It will be nice to have it working properly again, it's been dodgy for a few weeks but I kept thinking I could clear it if I kept using the plunger.  I gave up in the end.

Have a good day everyone, weather permitting

Good morning everyone bright here this morning

Sad news to start my day;
A lovely pair of borders (mother & son) that we know have been killed they ran off chasing things, as they do, and got lost, ended up on a very major road and have both been knocked down. We're devastated, they were absolutely wonderful little dogs. I cried throughout breakfast!

I just hope they died instantly, and didn't suffer, and at least they are together and the owners actually known what became of them. It's just so sad.
The sight of a huge rainbow as I arrived at work did cheer me up a bit

I hope you slept well and have good things happen today.
Squiggle, I hope your loo gets sorted out, do you have a second one you can use?
~Sparkling Summer~

I see on the BBC news website that a short film called Black Angel which was shown in cinemas in the Empire Strikes Back program years ago has been discovered after having thought to have been lost. It's a sort of Arthurian tale and some think that it was better than the main film.

It's being shown at the Glasgow Film Festival later this month followed by screenings in Dundee, Inverness and Edinburgh.

A couple of scenes in this clip, seems very atmospheric.

What a sad story Summer, those poor dogs   A lovely poem Yogi and I am glad you saw the lovely rainbow Summer.

Yes the toilet is all fixed now, luckily I have another one upstairs but it was a bit of a nuisance having to keep popping up there and as I had an elderly friend visiting today who takes extremely strong water tablets for her failing heart I didn't want her to have to climb the stairs.

Thank goodness you got the toilet fixed before your friend came, Squiggle.

Yes I would have felt dreadful, she had to go twice while she was here, she has such strong water tablets to try and get rid of the fluid build-up.

Did you have a nice catch up with your friend?

Yes it was lovely, her poor heart is really failing and she is the sweetest most loving person you could wish to meet.

She sounds really lovely, Squiggle. Such a shame she has serious health problems.

Good morning everyone

After a wet night it's currently dry here. Tonight and much of tomorrow is the next storm. My area is in the yellow warning area so there's no reason to expect what has been happening to the south.

My brother was due to come here today for the weekend but we talked it over yesterday evening and he's not coming. The risk is that although he could get here today, tonight's storm could make it difficult to go back and of course we wouldn't know if there was a problem until tomorrow. The main area of concern is the stretch of railway track at Purley which is near Reading. The Thames goes very close to the track there and there is an amber warning for flooding in that part.

Yogi, I hope your paperwork goes well and I doubt very much if you have the same level of shredding that I will need to do - about 4 foot of client paper.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, it's nice weather here at the moment but it is quite literally the calm before the storm sadly.

Summer what a lovely thing to say you are such a sweetie.

Oh no shredding, 4 feet of paper EL, thank goodness you have a good shredder.   Yogi I sympathise, my file is getting quite full and I know I will have to take it upstairs soon and bring down the upstairs file and shred that ready to start again, not something I look forward to.
