Good morning everyone

I hope everyone has a good day

Still very misty here, about 1° outside, the BBC, 2 to 3 degrees below what the forecasters are showing.
I'm not intending to go out at all today.

Beautiful blue skies & sunshine here thus far El
Haven't been out yet though

Stay safe & warm folks!

For those of you who watch "Call the Midwife", there may be significant changes to the scheduling of this Sunday's episode. That's because of the football match which precedes it. The BBC pundit who predicts results thinks the match will go to a lengthy penalty shoot out after extra time. That would mean the match over running by over an hour.

As I know you watch "Call the Midwife" I thought I should warn you about the possibility. You could check the score at around 7.20-7.30 pm which would be coming to the end of normal playing time to see if it was looking as heading to a draw which is when extra time would be needed (followed by a penalty shoot out if still a draw)

Thank you El

I don't know why they can't show the football on BBC2 and leave the regular BBC1 programmes alone

I note that the 1948 film "Scott of the Antarctic" is scheduled to be shown on BBC Two tomorrow afternoon and on the Talking Pictures tv channel on Monday evening. It's been shown many times before.
Of note is that the film score by Vaughan Williams was subsequently used by him for his 7th symphony.

That’s a good film El

Baz

Slim, little much on the Talking Pictures tv channel during the coming week to mention. There's a 1958 British crime drama called "Nowhere to Go" on Wednesday morning. Sounds rather downbeat. Was the last but one Ealing Studios film but not a comedy. The only reason for mentioning the film is that it was the first significant film role of Maggie Smith.
