Not a paper I read but according to the Daily Star, people who have energy tariffs which have cheaper rates during off peak hours may have to switch to smart meters if they don't already have them. Apparently at present the data sent between customers and energy companies for such customers are via the long wave transmitter whish is also used for Radio 4 longwave. The transmitter is now intended to be switched off on 30 June.

El Loro

Slim, one film to mention on the Talking Pictures tv channel during the coming week. On Friday at 17.15 is "So Long at the Fair" (1950), a British period mystery. Starred Jean Simmons, Dirk Bogarde and also David Tomlinson. Sister and brother go to a hotel in Paris but by the morning there's no trace of him.
One of the early "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" episodes had similarities but was much grimmer than "So Long at the Fair".
