Good morning everyone

Showers possible here, rather breezy, possibly gusts in the 40s this afternoon. Doesn't appear to have been named as a storm.

I hope everyone has a good day

Stay safe folks!

Slim, I see that Talking pictures tv channel has "Crooks Anonymous" (1962) on Tuesday at 15.45, a minor British comedy about a petty thief trying to reform.
Similar cast to "The Fast Lady" released later that year. Both had Leslie Phillips (lead in CA), Stanley Baxter (lead in TFL), Julie Christie (CA being he film debut) and James Robertson Justice. Both were directed by Ken Annakin. CA also had Wilfrid Hyde White and other actors who may recognise including Dennis Waterman as a boy in the park (he would have been 13/14 at the time).

That channel often shows old Anna Neagle films which were directed by her husband Herbert Wilcox. For instance "Peg of Old Drury" (1935) which is on Thursday morning at 6am. I saw several of their films years ago when there was a series of them on the BBC. They were very popular in the 1930s and 40s but I think would feel very old fashioned now.
POGD is a sort of biopic of an 18th century stage actress,
POOD gets a 4 stars rating by the Radio Times whereas imdb has a rating of 5.6 out of 10. I think that the Radio Times rating would be rather generous.

Thanks El

I'll have to set the recorder as have a busy few days ahead with the family

That's really bad, Slim
Years ago I was coming home and driving down a local road when I came across a patch of really dense fog so I cut my speed down to something like 5mph going through that.

That road generally has parked cars on one side or other of the road, hence the need to go slowly as there could be other cars coming down the road

I remember the pea soupers of the 1950s , they were so thickâ€Ķand yellow â€Ķ. that at one point the bus stopped and we all had to walk home from school . It was really weird , you literally couldn’t see your hand in front of your face â€Ķ.and very disorientingâ€Ķ.youd  start at one side of the road and end up on the other side .
