They were very popular in the 1930s and 40s but I think would feel very old fashioned now.
POGD is a sort of biopic of an 18th century stage actress,
POOD gets a 4 stars rating by the Radio Times whereas imdb has a rating of 5.6 out of 10. I think that the Radio Times rating would be rather generous.

Years ago I was coming home and driving down a local road when I came across a patch of really dense fog so I cut my speed down to something like 5mph going through that.

That road generally has parked cars on one side or other of the road, hence the need to go slowly as there could be other cars coming down the road

I remember the pea soupers of the 1950s , they were so thickâĶand yellow âĶ. that at one point the bus stopped and we all had to walk home from school . It was really weird , you literally couldnât see your hand in front of your face âĶ.and very disorientingâĶ.youd start at one side of the road and end up on the other side .
