BB just gathered all the housemates together and played footage of him and TOT talking in the bathroom, so now everyone knows that Ben lied about TOT wanting Shabby's hats and so on. Corin and Ife are going mental at him.

Well he did ignore the TOT and was warned, warned and warned again. If he didn't give up on the Boot Camp thing then he wouldn't be in this spot of bother.

He is really disappointing me as I thought he was a good HM.
He was completely indifferent to BB's threats to punish the other HMs and he just said he wouldn't mind living on chickpeas or missing a meal tonight, without a thought of how hungry anyone else might be.

Yes, or one punishment for some, another punishment for others to be precise. I think punishments are based on how popular a HM is perceived to be. BB knew that Shabby is already hated, no point wasting time on her punishment as it would only reinforce people's opinions.
Ben is quite a popular housemate (with the viewers) and he provided them (BB) with plenty of ammo. BB obliged.
