I've hated him for many and varied reasons but I don't think he was the one who should have walked. Dave is a 100 per cent vile human being but he cleverly ducked under the radar when it mattered. Don't worry about being 'unpopular' on here we're all just discussing stuff nobody thinks any less of you

I liked Ben as well even if his endless apologising was irritating.  Don't agree with a lot of his opinions but at least he's not brain dead like some of them.

Yeah it's Josie and John James fault apparently but their fans can't have been the only ones voting for Ben.

I think it was more John James tweenie fans voting Ben out.  His sense of humour must've gone way over  their little heads

I've been looking around on different forums, FB and Twitter etc and some of the John James fans are actually older women not just teenagers and even some males do like him, so I think it's unfair to his fans in a way, what about if Ben was just labelled as being liked by older people because they got his SOH more than what teenagers did, double standards me thinks.




Also all housemates have different age groups supporting them so why just the focus on John James?.

I agree with you Darlo - I'm no tweenie and my support of JJ is in more of 'dislike him less than some' sort of way.  It's easier to blame tweenies than accept that sometimes Ben wasn't all that nice and he got really dull, moany and boring in the past couple of weeks - I quite liked him until then, but he'd run his course I think.   That said, I can't believe Dave didn't get more votes - but I think he's done the opposite of Ben.. while Ben got a bit more bitchy, Dave toned his bad points right down recently and some people are actually warming to him (like my sister.. I'm just off down there to slap her about the head now)

There's also a lot of people who haven't seen Dave's You Tube videos. They would have voted for Ben in order to keep Dave there.  They are judging him on what they see on the HLs show promoting love and reading his Bible.
I am no fan of Dave.  He has always said he drank too much and has taken on this idiotic 'drunk on the Lord' belief.  Maybe he does believe it and if it helped him stay off the booze then that's ok with me.  
Ben was the master of his own downfall by his snide remarks and disregard for the feelings of the other housemates when it suited him.

It is childish for someone to say they'll avoid you just because you don't agree on a housemate! The only time I'll avoid anyone is if they use personal insults.

There is a hope, though, that this may cause him to become over-confident.

An animated one with Ben's face on a piece of toast, popping out of a toaster!  Thought it was pretty clever and amusing, myself. One or two others went mental over it, though.

Perhaps it would be worth mentioning the timing of this though.  About 5 or 10 minutes before we knew whether or not Ben was going.  In a fan thread.  Applaud if you want but personally I found it a less than funny piece of timing.  Wonder if this is going to be done in all the support threads or only Ben's?
