Mario doesn't seem to have many fans..Ben does.

As a neutral shall I say, I think Mario gets to much flack, IMO Ben is as much to blame as Mario.

Ben criticises Mario's intelligence at every opportunity, calls him stupid and boring all the time. Mario took a bitchfit because Ben wouldn't do him.

I don't see it like that. Ben has a pop at Mario but that is usually after Mario has subjected him to a torrent of snidey and unpleasant comments.

Mario admits to having a "massive crush" on Ben during the first week.
Since then things have changed.
They do have digs at each other and little moments of slagging.
But I do believe they still like each other.
I think they have now found their natural level - like water does.
I think they accept each other as they are - faults and all.
(I also think that Dave is something of an obstacle in their relationship.)
I think they understand each other. They may have their frustrations with each, but I don't think they dislike each other.
