She said her parents named her after Benazir Bhutto, but the first thing I noticed when she was going into the house and I saw her name on the screen was her name is spelt differently.

Wouldn't her parents have known the spelling of a woman so well known to their culture, especially as she supposedly received a present from her

Doesn't mean that THE Benazir's name was spelt correctly in the first place. It's like Nicola/Nichola or any other derivations or similar names - I can't think of any others... I'm on the wine

Benazir and Beinazir do seem to be interchangeable.

Hope it was a nice wine

one we bought last week was more like gut rot lol.

I just assumed that if a person was admired so much that someone wanted to name their child after them they'd choose the same spelling, so it would always be known they'd been named after that particular person
