I think you might have missed some of the threads around here recently then, Growly. Some FMs have become very nasty and childish towards others.
Maybe things have gone over my head then.  I haven't been watching this BB because I think all of the HMs are SO horrible that I've foudn it completely unwatchable and haven't been reading as much of the forum as usual.  But surely things haven't been as nasty here as the C4 day with mrsding/snowman/flabbybabby?

No they haven't, they haven't even been as bad as when you know who was spouting racist guff on old gaga.

And last night it did brim over into out & out insulting the FM for liking a HM.
That is ALWAYS wrong...  but all things considered, I think people on this forum are quite restrained compared to how things used to get on C4 It is always a bit tough when you support an unpopular FM (and I have been there) ... but HM's are fair game.... IMO...

.he's a good HM...I don't have to like him, I don't know him, I hope he stays in there until the end.....otherwise it'll get borin
See, that's the argument I don't understand... although I do try.... I just don't see watching someone being that nasty entertaining But it would be a funny old world if we were all the same

But isn't that part of the whole Big Brother thing?  The two minute hate?
I know it is for some people...  its really not for me!   If I am all wound up hating someone I am not in a happy place.

there are enough people in RL that piss me off without having to watch it in the form of entertainment too!

I am all for having a giggle at someone within reason...  but I tend to bow out when it gets nasty.  This doesn't mean I don't think others should do it...  whatever floats your boat.

it just gets a bit much when every single thread is full of the same hate being vented by the same people over & over again.

IMO

It's really busy there Ditts...but it's so different from here....not one trace of fluffeh anywhere...lots of swearing and loads of ridiculous threads just slating them for what they look like
hmmm...   the first year I joined C4...  I think I must have argued with the best of them...  I must have got to know people by the following year (the Rex one)...  cos I remember it all got too much for me halfway through that year... and I went and started LUT'ng just to get away from it all.

I just want a laugh me!

I remember a while back I once got a PM from a mod asking me to reduce the swearing or they may have to take action (something along those lines)... though because others continued to swear, I pretty much carried on. Don't know what happened to that rule though
I'm a bit confused about that.  I think the "f" one and I'd imagine the "see you next tuesday" one will probably result in a bopping....I think they're ok with mild ones.

I still got the message in my dialogs, think the mod said I was annoying those who dealt with the filtered posts because they were all mine Also said if there were so many complaints they would have to suspend me.

those two words are definitely not allowed...  I think there was an announcement about it at some point (I dunno what it said...  I didn't read it.. )

There's one word... similar to twit...   was wondering - do they use that word in the US... or is that one of our special unique words  (i get quite proud of our unique words)

have become more of a lurker then a poster on here of late, mainly due to the venomous postings of others on here about people in the house's appearance.  Calling Josie fat, John Crab eyed, Caoimhe bow legged etc

What has that Slob done to deserve being named this? I hate the way people have began to call him this as if he is a level above everyone in the house..I particularly detest the way he speaks abut himself as the 'Baron' in the 3rd person, and also the way he thinks he controls the house.
Lazy, fat, slob, oaf, halfwit!!

He is boring, he just sits on the sofa all day with that annoying laugh of his, snidey, bitchy, has too many tattoos and his glass eye freaks me out

This is why I replied to the thread in the first place, because I remembered these post from the OP. Not that I like Steve, kettle calling pot in my opinion! It's not worth the arguing

Hmmmmm interesting debate.
I think slating someone for their looks or for things they can't help isn't on really although I.m sure most of us do it (even if not to someones face) when we're upset with someone.

I think it's down to individuals to set their own morality over things regardless of the herd. For example I was at football today. One of the songs sung regularly by the Gooners (taken from the Southampton fans who started it) is about Harry Redknapp and concerns him having a twitch - complete with twitching actions.
I personally don't join in with the singing or the twitching as I think it's a bit out of order - but I shamefully admit to the fact it makes me laugh when they are doing it but less in a 'that's really funny' way and more in a laughing with shock way - if that makes sense
