I havnt joined you in beet everyday but have had a lovely beet salad with ham tonight .... it was yummy

Just to show Zaphod that beetroots can be happy

I would like some beetroot with my corned beef tonight.
Unfortunately I don't have any beetroot.

Beetroots have no feelings El Loro.. otherwise they would be so disgusted with themselves and their taste and throw themselves under the nearest car!!

I love it but only if it's pickled with garlic and mint.

Was given the recipe by a little cafe owner in Northern Cyprus where we stopped for lunch one day. It was delicious and I've followed that recipe ever since.

In fact I've just pickled a few more jars only ten minutes ago.
