The benefits system is a pile of poop and makes it so hard for those genuinely in need.

My dad retired about 5 years ago. He put aside funds for me and the kids as part of his retirement plan (bless him). I still hate taking off him though, and one day it will give me great pleasure to give something back.
If I ever say that to him, he says I am a fantastic mum, and the kids are a credit to me, and them, and that gives him more pleasure than any money could.
Gotta love him. (even if he is a grumpy ol sod sometimes! )
Oooh does this thread mean that I can have a rant?
I am studying for my MA but ( I think understandably) need part time work to put food on t' table etc.. and I'm overqualified?I know that but I do need to work?
On top of that. my CSA case (he hasn't paid a penny in years despite earning v. good money grr) has gone to debt enforcement - ie - we have all the powers but we still won't act, even though you have given us all the A*sehole's details. My last letter from the CSA was 28/04/08 and they won't return my calls
*screams*

*Sets reminder on phone*
I'm hoping to come off the sick and back on to jobseekers' on Tuesday. Guaranteed to screw up my Housing Benefit again.
Good luck to all of you looking for work. I know it can't be easy for you at the moment. It's a shame the system doesn't recognise and reward those genuinely in need.
