sorry to read this Pirate

see if you can find out what day the doc/consultant in charge of your Mum does his ward round during the week and arrange to be there and have a chat

its the weekend no one much makes decisions till the week day rounds

im in a bit of a daze here

keep calm and deep breathes and stop googling tonight

I lay in a bed for 2 days with the wrong name and nil by mouth - nothing to do with me what so ever - the staff just hadnt bothered changing the chart above the bed and hadnt noticed till MrH brought it to their attention

ive decided to be upbeat about it or i'll go bonkers

that's the best way pirate - worrying is pointless if you can't do anything.  As others have said, try to get a word with the consultant yourself if your sis doesn't let you know what's going on.    Hope she's ok x

Yeah mrsh is right, my mom had the wrong name written above her bed for ages when she was is hospital, might not be connected to your mum. I remember you are held at arms length with your mom by your sister when I read the title. MrsH is right try to be there when the doctors do the ward rounds, no one else can tell you/decide anything. Hope you get the answers and treatment she needs quickly

Aww Pirate, I'm sorry to hear this.

Could you maybe make an appointment to speak to your mum's consultant?

Pirate you do make me smile even when you are upset

Don't let your sister keep you out of the loop.  You have every right to know what's going on.

Ells

Hey pirate, hope all goes well xx

On the code red thing - ask them at the ward what it means . It could just mean they'd resuscitate if needed ( had a rammy with the hospital my dad was in cause they'd put a DNR notice on his notes without asking him or letting us know)- check it out though , ask them anything you want to know, you're family, they have to tell you if you ask .

Bet the cockroaches are working on their teamaking skills !
