I agree.... His perspicacity went out of the window when Bea arrived, and it's all been down hill from there on in.

Ooooo lovely word there.. Valentine

It's because when Bea came into the house he got someone to bounce his 'stuff' off.. someone who enjoys picking the fluff off everything as much as he does.. or maybe a little bit less as I think she has got fed up with it now.

He reminds me a little of someone I used to know.. lovely guy fundamentally, but he could chew the marrow out of any subject. Great for a little chat if you wanted to have a moment of adult interleckshual conversation.. but pretty much a tense nervous headache the rest of the time.

The one thing Freddie never had was perspicacity !

He has absolutely no perceptive skills whatsoever.

The idiot managed to misinterpret numerous social situations and he keeps "observing" such situations because he finds people and society so confusing!

He doesn't understand basic human motivations, he is utterly naive, he is socially inept and tries to reaffirm his self-confidence through all the apparently self-satisfied hmmmmmssss which are transparent attempts to project himself as some social observer and hedonist when he is nothing of the sort.

He has less well developed social skills and perception skills than Sophie.

He has appalling difficulty just having a conversation with someone and not destroying it with some idiotic piece of conversation-killing, wandering, self-indulgent rhetoric.

I have yet to hear him make one insightful comment, meanwhile Bea delivers a torrent.

He is one very confused and inept person.

It's called benefit of the doubt Flossie.... and despite what you say, whether by design, or by accident, he played a good game for the first couple of weeks. Then, with each non eviction, first complacency set in, then smugness, and then Bea....!

Oh I see it all over the place, not with all those who aren't his fans but when he is called names by fools like Flossie then that is hate.

Gosh I totally agree. I find listening to him converse so agonisingly painful as he doesn't really say anything that makes sense and continues to waffle in such a disjointed way I have to keep asking OH what the hell he just said and OH says buggered if he knows lol

He has the same conversational skills as that awful Charley wannabe IT girl the other year!

I don't know what happened in the argument leading up to the fallout... none of us do and hopefully HL will shed a little light... but I'm willing to bet we none of us get the context. I think there has been a little something brewing there for a while. I think Freddie annoys the poop out of people: then they either get over that and become friendly with him, or he continues to irritate the shit out of them.

I'm not a Freddie hater, I take him as I find him and while one day that might have me applauding him another it may have me considering a neck wringing.. however, I do think I would be irritated. For example, some of his affectations of action and speech would have me asking why, FFS, does a public schoolboy from Shropshire talk 'like' he's a 14 year old Valley Girl called Tiffany. Disappointed Crazy

Well from what I can gather yesterday long before LF started he did give her mouthful, hence her turning against him and bitching about him to Charlie and David.

But of course he'll now be called a bully for having a go at her.

This is delusional and a complete misinterpretation of what happened.

Freddie, because of his inability to converse with other people through including intricate details of his showering schedule etc in much of his comments, was isolated, shunned, picked on and bullied. As a result he picked up a sympathy vote as all such people do.

There was no intent in his position, he hated being picked on and did he periodically did his damnedest to engage with others, but with little success. That is NOT playing a good game, that was just being inept and a victim and the game played him, he was nothing more than a seed in the wind of the social dynamics.

I am always stunned by people not understanding the reasons they have for liking people.

The new more confident Freddie and the old isolated and bullied Freddie are the same person and you shouldn't resent the fact with support from people like Bea his confidence has increased.

Bea has been 100% good for Freddie's personal development. She has stopped him spewing bollocks for the most part and brought him into contact with some real insights and social skills.

Very harsh term to use on non-fans who are not scared to voice their criticism of a housemate....

Oh I see it all over the place, not with all those who aren't his fans but when he is called names by fools like Flossie then that is hate.

This sort of remark is typical of you. Stupid and ignorant and born of an inability to understand points and a knee jerk defence that doesn't engage whatever little neurological capability you have.

And for your information, I do not hate Freddie at all, he is about my 4th favourite hm, but I can see his apparent deficiencies whereas you simply can't see the nose in front of your face.

"He is one very confused and inept person" thats hardly the words of someone who likes that HM.

If thats how you talk about your friends (if you have any) then god help them.

And yes, I am very passionate with my defence of the HM I support. Wink

As you know Flossie, I like you, but your personal insults to fm`s do you no favours. Shake Head

My friends are not inept, quite the opposite.

I wouldn't chose Freddie as a friend but he does have a number of good points, including his morals and generous spirit.

But alas he is like a small primary school child trying to understand the big bad world and applying simplistic morals learnt in the classroom to it. He is very underdeveloped.
