there's been a bit of bias the last few years, biggest example was ch4's dislike of aisleyne.last year they didn't seem best pleased that rachel won, i can only guess she wouldn't be one for ongoing publicity etc. after the show.
i do think over the past few years there has been some bias in the editing, but it's usally transparent for forum people because they've had live feed, this year it could well be biased and none of us would know, so they do pretty much whatever they like.
i find it strange that charlie is well liked in the house and a lot of evictees have wanted him to win, does this mean we are seeing one thing and he's not the twonk we all think he is?
it's all a bit odd.

Some contestants are far more willing to publicise the show after they leave the house by appearing in trashy magazines and getting in gossip columns.

For example, Rachel winning last year was awful news for BB as she didn't do any of the 'Zleb' circuit and so didn't really help to publicise the show afterwards.

However, Brian Belo has consistently been a n*b on many shows for them and is always providing a gormless vox-pop for stuff and is the BB publicists dream.

To be fair I have my theories about who is going to win and why though and I don't think it's BB driving it this year but that's enough about that.

Some of that is what I don't get Jackson, lots of peeps think that the hls have been 'favourable' to Charlie yet they have consistently showed behaviours which have led viewers to dislike him, thinking that he's an actor/fake/disingenuous/backstabbing/tale telling etc.etc etc. Yet everyone in the house seems to like him I can understand the bit about sympathy vote re his mum, but tbh I've hardly heard him make mention of it, I know we don't see much of lf but when we do he doesn't seem to talk about that

BTW, I can see how they may want a 'big character' to win, but surely they don't know who that is going to be until they see how they are in the house?

he's on lots of the highlights,many of which don't view him favourably, could be bias.
bea was on many of the highlights which didn't view her favourably.
both these two have had ructions in the house and yet still had friends besides each other.
i just find it hard to believe that neither of them had never done anything positive in the whole time they've been in there.

far from me thinking charlie is the chosen one, i think he's an also ran and has been, for ch4, from quite early on.

without live feed we will never know.
but i take the highlights with a pinch of salt, it's not a representation of what goes on, it's titillation and entertainment, and is slanted to encourage more viewers, which i 'spose is what any tv company would do.

Have they EVER criticised Charlie? To some extent they have never been hard with Sophie or Rodrigo either (how hasn't Rodrigo received a warning?). Because of the Charlie/Rodrigo spats they have had to side with one of them and that has been Charlie. Marcus has been getting a bit more favour recently but let's not forget the vitriol hurled at him on BBLB and BBBM for nearly all of the show.

Charlies just as much of a twonk on live feed! They feel sorry for his mother!He is also nice to some peoples faces but not behind their backs! He wasn't bothered about Rodrigo when he had bea to be his fall guy... now he has gone back to teasing him!
Aisleyne was a different story altogether... they bought in a girl who they thought was going to be a hard-faced biatch.... she showed them that she was independant, witty and fair minded young women! That told 'em!
They can edit all they like but they cannot change the expressions on the sullen face of the [cough]cheerful Charlie!
I have watched a lot of LF, not as much as I would like grrrrr! and Charlie is actually not strong friends with anyone.. He said when Bea left that he was now alone!He latched on to her because Sophie and Rodrigo became close. Lisa became close to david. Siavash talks to everyone and marcus talks when he feels like it!
Nah he is not that popular.... Bea said she wanted Charlie to win because she failed to win Marcus or shiavash over to herside! IMO

I don't think there's necessarily just one HM they want to win. There may a group who they consider to represent the image of the program in a way that they want. Normally that means people with youthful good looks who are seen as fun in some way and perhaps have some kind of story so they can be seen as going on a journey.

ahhh, i've prob got it all wrong, maybe ch4 don't go in for hatchet jobs.
