Three sets of familiar faces ā including one surprise inclusion after a heat-winning family dropped out ā stride into that lovely barn conversion for the first semi-final.
In what feels like a MasterChef invention test, the groups are given identical ingredients and are asked to come up with a meal. Or, as one contestant puts it, āa big salady thingā.
Thereās much hilarity in the puddings round when Rosemary Shrager drops a profiterole down her bra but itās not long before laughter turns to tears when disaster strikes a family during a roast dinner with a twist challenge. You might weep, too, over ZoĆ« Ballās description of a roast dinner as an āiconicā family meal.
