Update to mention that this series is due to start on BBC One in the week starting 23 January. It's an 8 part series starting with the 10 contestants and 1 leaving each episode until the final 3 are left. Too soon to know which day(s) or time.

Bumping for tonight

A mezzaine floor has been built for the judges to be seated and view the contestants cooking in the kitchen space below. Mary Berry is using opera glasses to see them.

Below the mezzanine floor is the tasting area. Each judge has their table and chair to use whilst tasting.

The kitchen space has been enlarged so that the contestants are separated at a safe distance.

Each round starts with Mary's ultimate challenge  - tonight is the ultimate home cooked dinner. Afterwards, each jusge says which is their favourite.
Then it's Chris's rustle up challenge based on a mystery ingredient in a brown paper bag.
The weakest contestants face the Eliminator round, after which one contestant goes.
