Round these parts 'scraps' are the bits of batter that become unattached from the fish and float in the frying oil/fat.
From time to time you would ask for scraps as they were free.
On in about 2 minutes.
There was a fair bit of humour in that. Quite liked it as it was a bit light hearted. Makes a change from all the Grrrr stuff of late.
