Me too Rosemary - I listened to the link on the Social Strata blog

I'd love to hear your voice ...as well as listen to the article ....I'll never be up at that time though - is it possible to record it on Sky+?  I know you get radio on it ...never have used it for that though.

At least I though this was as Rosemary is clearly referred to at the beginning, but I've just done a quick trawl through the half hour programme without spotting her interview.

Can't find it

The link I posted above was for the 6.05 to 6.30 time slot.
I have also now checked The World Today slotsshown on the World Service schedule for the 7.05 to 7.30 slot and the 8.05 to 9.00 slot without success. The 6.30 to 7.00 slot which is where we expected to hear Rosemary is taken over by a program One Planet about cleaning up the Ganges - this of course has nothing to do with the Indus flooding in Pakistan.

I am not able to explain what has happened here, but it would seem unlikely that we will be able to hear from Rosemary unless anyone else has any ideas. Youtube does not look promising as a source.

Thanks for trying to hunt it down. After the "cleaning up the Ganges" story, they did a short interview with an Irish boy who speaks fluent Chinese (wow), and then I was on for a few minutes.  I'll have to go listen to the audio and see if it got cut off....it was a very very brief chat, so they may have just left it out. 

It was fun talking live on BBC!

(Update - I just went through the available audio and couldn't find my segment...I was on at around 11:00pm my time, which I think is 7am Sunday morning your time.  Ah well...)

Although the BBC interview seems to be missing, I have just found this piece posted a few days ago on the NPR News site. Although other people feature on this item, we do get to hear Rosemary talking about their unlimited paid leave policy. Click here.

muf, thanks fot trying, but the BBC player works in a different way to Youtube - as far as I know iy is not possible to successfully embed all playesr on this forum in the same way as for Youtibe.. This of course was an audio piece. I know that if you try to embed a BBC vudeo clip, the start picture will appear on the forum with the loading circle effect appearing, but the actual clip never appears.

In case you are wondering, the "seriously injured spouse" was my husband, Bob, who fell off of a ladder and shattered his leg below the knee.  This happened in January (January 6th, but who's keeping track? )  While he hasn't fully recovered, as he is still in some pain, he is now totally mobile.  The wheelchair has been banished from the house, along with the walker, and even the cane.

I can't tell you how nice it was to be able to take off whatever time I needed to care for him during this time.  I was in and out of the office during the 10 days he was in the hospital, and I worked from home for the first week he was home, then came back for 1/2 days for another week.  The one thing I didn't have to worry about during that time was how much leave I had.

Oh blimey Rosemary! good that he's on the mend now though
