9:15am: Morning, fans! The housemates are all asleep, but we have a sneaking suspicion there's a task today...

9.30am: BB has switched on the lights. Oddly, the HMs don't seem to like Mondays very much.

9.50am: HMs starting to think about getting up. Come on guys it's a beautiful morning (or it was when we got up)

10.08am: Most HMs up and about. Winston's usually immaculate hair is flopping around like a wet seal.

10.13am: Here it is.

10.33am: "What are these eyebrows like?" Mark asks Matthew for very specific beauty advice.

10.45am: "Are you more psychic than me?" Mark asks Jale a question he should surely already know the answer to.

11.16am: HMs getting ready for a day of sun and swimming. Boys seem to be taking longer than the girls.

"Arrgh, I hate talking about food!" says Ash, before talking very much at length about food. He's still going...

11.57am: Christopher is explaining how sometimes people think he's older than 23. The others are obviously in shock.

12.17pm: Some textbook modelling poses from Ash, he's currently eating an apple very very slowly whilst wearing a hat

12.34: So the good news is that Winston and Tamara are making lunch. There's no bad news

12.50am: That's a very expensive piece of toast.

1.05pm: The girls are dissecting the merits of make up. Chris looks seconds away from widening his eyes and slowly backing away

1.24pm: HMs chowing down on some grub. Chickpeas with a side of chickpeas.

1.44am: Can't cook, won't cook. Steven outlining his prowess in the kitchen.

2.08am: Tamara and Helen enjoying the rays (and an apple).

2.20pm: "I'haven't been 18 since I was 15." Mark has some radical notions about the nature of time but then so did Einstein...

6.46pm: Pauline is leading a bread-making masterclass. Nice to see they're finally using their 'loaf'

6.53pm: Steven is talking HMs through the cars he's had. Let's hope they don't ask how many countries he's been to

7.03pm: "I got changed SIX times yesterday, just for something to do." ...but which BB housemate is the serial outfit changer?

Did you get it? It was only our Mark. Shout out to @PaulKenny300 who gave us the correct answer first.

7.31pm: Tamara is chatting about how much she hates her official BB photo. Again.

7.42pm: HMs are encouraging Ash to braid his luscious locks into cornrows. He's not too convinced.

8.06pm: Dinner time for the HMs. It's rice-based (of course) and making us preeetty hungry.

Jale Karaturp has become the unlucky housemate to get the killer nomination on Big Brother 2014.

Earlier,  Danielle McMahon, Jale Karaturp and Tamara Stewart-Wood were put up for eviction in this evening’s Big Brother 2014 nomination results.

But Pauline then had to make her KILLER nomination.

“As the power housemate, you will be immune from the first live vote,” Big Brother told her. “You will however have one killer nomination. Whichever housemate you choose as your killer nomination will face eviction each and every week they remain in the house.”

The first power housemate – as voted for by the public – was called to the Diary Room as the other housemates nominated to reveal her choice.

She told Big Brother that it was an easy decision to make before naming Jale Karaturp as her killer nomination.

Pauline explained: “There are sixteen people here but she doesn’t help out. She does want she wants, gets what she gets and then she’s gone.”

As a result Jale Karaturp will face eviction every week for the entire series.

Big Brother then revealed that Pauline’s Power Trip was over.

BB then explained that another housemate would become the Power housemate however their identity will be kept secret.

Big Brother teased: “One of you will be pulling all of the strings.”

The first eviction – between Jale, Tamara and Danielle – will take place live this Friday night on Channel 5, hosted by Emma Willis.

It all kicked off in the Big Brother 2014 house tonight after the nomination results were revealed to the group.

Danielle McMahon, Jale Karaturp and Tamara Stewart-Wood were put up for eviction in this evening’s Big Brother UK nominations results

But as well as being nominated by her fellow housemates, poor Jale was also named by Power housemate Pauline as her killer nomination in a special live twist show tonight.

It means she will now face eviction this week and EVERY other week that she stays in the competition.

However, perhaps bizarrely, that twist had nothing to do with the arguments with Jale not seeming to mind that much.

The bickering was instead focused around Danielle, who had apparently (according to Helen, who heard it form Steven) claimed she was probably going to go as she was the only housemate not ‘acting like a slag’.

When Helen heard the comment (via Steven) she confronted Danielle for branding the other housemates ‘slags’, who in turn flipped at Steven for blabbing.

Although Danielle insisted: “I did not use the word slag.”

It all ended in a bit of a screaming match between Danielle and Helen, with Steven also getting a bit of a bashing for at least stirring and perhaps making up what Danielle had originally said.

In the end, Helen left the situation to smoke in the garden, quipping: “I don’t think God’s going to be very happy with her [Danielle].”

She added of Danielle: “She needsa f**king s**g. Miserable bitch.”

Christopher then decided to stir it all up a bit by moving from the garden to the house to tell Danielle that Helen was bitching about her.

Pauline meanwhile told Danielle to (basically) get the hell over it as it should Jale who’s upset.

Everything you need to know about Day 5

Today was never going to be the happiest day in the Big Brother House. Yesterday, housemates nominated for the first time, and that seemed to be weighing heavily on their minds this morning.
Tamara and Winston regret their nominations
Tamara and Winston thought they might have made the wrong decision and Christopher thought Pauline might be up to something, while Ashleigh was confused about how her hot water bottle got emptied in the night. Conspiracy theories abounded, but maybe someone should have asked Jale and Mark, since they're the House's resident psychics.
Housemates hid Mark's money
Boredom - or maybe jealousy - led some of the housemates to steal and hide Mark's ÂĢ5,000 prize. Naughty, naughty. And speaking of naughtiness, Tamara and Winston got their "flanter" on in the kitchen, discussing rude things and, um, bolognese.

The audience approval task kept housemates busy this afternoon, as they had to compete with one another to be the weirdest, sexiest, or most disgusting. With suitcases at stake, this task was serious business.
Danielle is angry about being nominated
But the day's biggest drama, inevitably, came when the results of yesterday's nominations were revealed. The first three housemates to face the public vote are Danielle, Tamara, and Jale. There was an added sting in the tail for Jale, too: Pauline picked her as her killer nomination, which means she'll be up for eviction every week until she goes.
With emotions riding high, Danielle indulged in a bit of a rant, and soon the entire House was being dragged into an almighty argument. As we head into the early hours of the morning, things seem to be calming down a bit, but we probably haven't heard the last of this row just yet...

Day 6: The housemates are very happy about the shopping task

Great news, the housemates are HAPPY!

As the housemates woke up to the some uplifting sounds and started immediately dancing, so began a two day onslaught of unfathomable joy! Their shopping task this week is to stay completely positive at all times.

Toya and Steven have been anointed the “Positivity Police” and it will be their job to ensure that any frowns be immediately turned upside down, and that springs are constantly found in steps.

Sounds easy, but, of course, as ever, there is a twist! Big Brother will be doing everything to spatter rain on the housemate’s parade, so expect cruel ploys and devious tricks intended to muster a groan or a grimace.

Can the housemates keep their chins up? Will Matthew be able to curb his natural sarcasm? Can Danielle really go a whole afternoon without crying?

Winston Showman is the new favourite to win Big Brother 2014 after less than a week inside the house.

The housemate with the most bets and current favourite to win is Essex chappy Winston at 9/2 with bookmakers Paddy Power.

His quest for a girlfriend and determination to be the best housemate ever seem to be working in his favour as he has been a massive hit with punters.

Actor Chris Wright is the current second to be crowned BB winner at 11/2 also proving a hit with punter’s, while Northern Irish lass Ashleigh Coyle is the only girl in the top three at 8/1.

Possibly having slept with Wayne Rooney is not working in her favour, as Helen Wood is surprisingly only 7th favourite to win despite being given a ‘Fast Pass’ to the final by Pauline. Even with that massive bit of good luck, it looks like Helen is unlikely to be crowned the winner possibly meaning she won’t be a hit with the voting public.

Meanwhile, with Danielle and Helen starting to lay into each other on last night’s live show, the odds of any housemate being ejected from the house for bad behaviour have dropped from 4/1 down to 15/8, as horns appear to be locking.

A spokesperson for Paddy Power said today: “The girls are not off to a good start this year with Helen and Danielle making enemies and Jale getting the killer nomination.

They are going to have to up their game or Winston will be walking over that finish line”

You’ll only have one chance to watch Big Brother 2014 on the telly tonight with repeats of the show being pulled by Channel 5.

It’s after on last night’s live show it all kicked off between Helen and Danielle after Danielle apparently branded the other housemates ‘slags’, although she denied ever using that word.

The rows and subsequent fallout will air in tonight’s highlights on Channel 5 at 10PM, but the episode has been deemed “too explosive” for daytime viewers.

As a result, for the first time in BB history, Channel 5 has been forced to remove the repeats.

A spokesperson for Big Brother said: “Tonight’s 10pm episode of Big Brother on Channel 5 is so explosive, for the first time ever, Channel 5 has been forced to remove tomorrow’s daytime repeats as the content has been deemed too explosive and inappropriate for daytime audiences.”

They added: “Instead, viewers who miss tonight’s explosive episode go online.

Helen rejects Danielle's apology.

A second huge row has erupted in the Big Brother 2014 house tonight following the fallout of nominations.

Last night it was revealed that Danielle McMahon, Jale Karaturp and Tamara Stewart-Wood had been put up for eviction in the series’ first nomination results.

The announcement ended in it all kicking off after Danielle apparently branded the other housemates ‘slags’, although she denied ever using that word.

Helen Wood and Danielle clashed over the alleged remarks (that stirring Steven had repeated around the house), with Helen quipping: “She needs a f**king s**g. Miserable bitch.”

After sobbing in the Diary Room to Big Brother, Danielle returned to the house to try and apologise, although we don’t entirely know why as she didn’t seem to have done anything wrong.

In any case, it was a BAD IDEA.

Helen was furious at Danielle for even trying to say sorry, claiming that she had overheard her claim she had “no class”.

“Apparently I have no class, why would you wan to apologise to someone who you think has no class?” Helen snapped. “I know your opinion of me.”

Danielle couldn’t get a word in edgeways as Helen spat: “Why the f**k would you want to apologise to someone who has no class?

“I don’t want your apology, stick it up your f**kng a**e.”

She continued: “Don’t speak to me for the remaining time that you’re hear, you walk one way and I another.

“Me and you, we’re like are chalk and cheese. I say how it is,  you are a two faced t**t.”

So, that’s a no to the apology then, Helen?

Big Brother yesterday gave the remaining housemates still without their suitcases a chance to win them.

Yesterday the Housemates, without their suitcases, went head to head in three different categories; most sexy, most weird and most disgusting. The other Housemates watched as an audience, using live feedback voting pads to indicate which pair of housemates they prefer.

The first pair to go head to head were KIMBERLY and JALE to find out who was Big Brother’s most SEXY housemate. KIMBERLY was blue and JALE was red. The Housemates voted JALE as the most SEXY housemate so she received her suitcase.

The second pair to go head to head were CHRIS and ASHLEIGH to find out who was Big Brother’s most WEIRD housemate. ASHLEIGH was blue and CHRIS was red. The Housemates voted CHRIS as the most WEIRD housemate so he received his suitcase.

The last round TAMARA and TOYA were the blue team who went head to head against the ASH and MARLON as the red team to find out who was Big Brother’s most DISGUSTING Housemate. The Housemates voted TAMARA and TOYA as the most DISGUSTING housemate so they both received their suitcases.

HOUSEMATES WITH THEIR SUITCASES: JALE CHRIS TAMARA TOYA PAULINE MARK HELEN DANIELLE CHRISTOPHER WINSTON STEVEN

Day 5 in the Big Brother house saw the group learn about the nomination results, leading to a huge set of arguments.

Kimberly tells Big Brother that she’s bonded with Danielle adding, “She’s quite a sweet girl and it’s really nice to have someone like that in the House”
Marlon says to Winston and Tamara that they “would make a good coupleâ€Ķ”
Jale tells Ashleigh she has a “good feeling” about nominations
Toya talks to Big Brother about the nomination process, saying “we know something’s going to happen todayâ€ĶI think maybe, when we go into the later evening, there will be tension”
Danielle talks to Jale about last night’s bad language saying she finds it “disrespectful” and “so irritating”
Today’s task sees Housemates go head to head to win back their suitcases. Jale and Kimberly are the first to compete in the category of ‘most sexy’ with remaining Housemates voting Jale the winner much to Kimberly’s chagrin after their performance. The Housemates observe that “Kimberly’s fuming”
Ashleigh and Chris are the next to compete in the category of ‘most weird’ with Chris winning the title for his funny expressions
Finally, Marlon and Ash compete against Toya and Tamara to win the title of ‘most disgusting’. After covering themselves in a mixture of foul smelling and gross items including ox tongues, cuttlefish and yeast extract, the girls walk away victorious, with Toya crying “Big Brother, you know I’ve got hygiene issuesâ€ĶI’m traumatised”
Mark feels regretful about nominating Jale, telling Big Brother, “After nominating her yesterdayâ€Ķseeing how funny she was in the challenge; that’s the kind of person I want to be aroundâ€ĶI think she could be really funnyâ€Ķa bit of a joker”
Pauline, Ash and Steven discuss what Big Brother has in store for them in the evening. Pauline comments, “I like the power when I can share stuff with people. However, there are times when it’s *****ing easyâ€ĶI can’t say much till after tonightâ€Ķbut it will kick off grand style”
Big Brother reveals the results of nominations. Danielle, Jale and Tamara will all face the public vote
Pauline chose Jale for her Killer Nomination, saying “there are 16 of us here and 16 of us that eat. As it stands at the moment, she doesn’t do anything at all except get to the kitchen, get something to eat and bog off again.” Jale responds to the news with a laugh and remains calm

Pauline’s reign of Power is now over and Big Brother tells Housemates that over the next few days, the Power will return to the house, but the identity of the new Power Housemate will remain secret
Jale reflects on her Killer Nomination from Pauline saying, “I’m not going to lie, I’m gutted but if someone’s got a bit of a sense of humour about it, that will do for me”
Winston tells the Housemates that Danielle plans to tell them what she thinks of them when she leaves the House. Steven adds that she said she was nominated “just because I didn’t act like a *****ing sl*g”. Helen then confronts Danielle over what she said to Pauline
Danielle cries in the Dairy Room telling Big Brother, “I shouldn’t have done that, manâ€ĶI just lost itâ€Ķ.did not handle that wellâ€ĶGod would probably want me to go and apologise to the whole blo*dy group that nominated meâ€Ķ.I’ll apologise and move on but can I not just go home?”
Kimberly, Ashleigh and Christopher discuss Danielle. Ashleigh says, “I kept telling her to keep it classy and keep your morals high and keep the public knowing that you are a lady and she justâ€ĶI was so shocked”
Helen jokes, “*****ing hell, can you imagine her (Danielle) phone bill when I’m up for eviction?!” Jale tells Steven, “I’m used to people not getting me or knowing what I’m about”
Pauline and Jale discuss the Killer Nomination. Pauline explains that she thinks Jale isn’t a team player saying, “to a degree, you put yourself in the firing lineâ€Ķyou made it easy for me”
Danielle tells Kimberly and Ashleigh that she “didn’t say the sl*g thing” but Kimberly disagrees
Jale opens up to Toya, Marlon and Pauline tearfully saying, “I’m not playing the victim here”
Chris tells Big Brother that “Jale and myself are definitely not Pauline’s cup of teaâ€Ķshe’s too muchâ€Ķits like ‘shut the ***** up’!”
Kimberly tries to act as peace maker between Helen and Danielle. Helen says, “I’m done with her” and refuses Danielle’s apology

 Fans want Helen Woods ejected

Big Brother fans are calling for Helen Wood to get the axe from the show after last night’s row with Danielle McMahon.

Danielle and Helen went head to head to a huge argument following the nominations reveal, that saw plenty of insults being shouted at one another.
> Big Brother 2014: Blow by blow account of Helen Wood and Danielle McMahon’s row!
But Helen’s comments have angered many viewers, especially with her previous FOURTEEN warnings.
Amongst the various things said, Helen threatened she was “going to knock her [Danielle] out”, while also told the Catholic to “stop s**gging Jesus.”
Branding her a member of the “God Squad”, Helen also said called Danielle a “fat b***h” who “needed a s**g.”
One Twitter user wrote online: “Wait so Helen said she’d knock out Danielle and she told her to shag Jesus? Where’s the warning from big brother??”

Another added: “Has #bbuk turned a blind eye to Helen’s comment “I’m going to knock her out” threat to Danielle? Are violent threats acceptable? Punishment?”
A third complained to Big Brother’s official Twitter account: “Where is Helen’s warning for the offensive Jesus comment and threat of violence towards Danielle. #bbuk”
However some viewers backed up Helen.
One argued: “If Danielle can freely voice her disgust at gay marriage and being sexually liberated due to her religion, Helen can freely voice her own disgust at Danielle’s Christianity due to having the opposite standpoint.”
Do you think Helen should’ve been warned or even kicked out for her comments? Should Danielle have also been hauled into the Diary Room?

Everything you need to know about Day 6

After yesterday's fireworks, Day 6 has been a happy day. Mostly because Big Brother told the housemates it had to be.

Mark reacts to the fake tan ban

This week's shopping task is all about the Power of Positivity. To pass, housemates must remain cheerful and happy until Big Brother tells them otherwise. The day started out easily enough, with an early morning happy dance, but things soon got more difficult when Big Brother decided to ban housemates from wearing any makeup or fake tan. How will Mark survive?

Toya and Steven were appointed Positivity Police, charged with making sure everyone kept a smile on their faces - even when they were being insulted. There was even worse to come, as Big Brother brought in a smoking ban, making all smokers in the House hand over their cigarettes. And they're not even allowed to whinge about it, because any complaining could put their shopping budget at risk...

Speaking of food, the next part of the task involved a cocktail party in the garden. But these drinks weren't a treat: ingredients included stinky tofu, fish eyes, and frogs' legs. Ashleigh refused to drink hers, incurring one fail for the House. Uh oh!

Meanwhile, Mark was having some tummy troubles, and Steven had a theory about who the next Power Housemate might be. Is it just us, or does he seem a little less than positive?

Marlon's game face

Sadly, even mandated happiness can't fix the divide in the House, as Toya reckons she's sniffed out one of her fellow housemates' game plan, and Marlon, well, he's got his game head on. It's almost like this whole thing is a game show.

Christopher and Danielle camp in the garden

The last part of the task, at least for today, saw Happy Campers Danielle and Christopher moving into a rainy tent in the garden. Come back tomorrow to find out how they got on - and don't forget, voting lines are open for the first eviction of the series!

FM

WAKE UP – ONE MINUTE RAGE
To give Housemates a short rest from Positivity, Big Brother allows the One Minute Rage. This One Minute Rage is used to address issues that are arising in the House. When hazard lights and red lighting flash, Housemates are offered the chance to get things off their chests. For one minute, Housemates must shout at each other, scream at each other, and vent their issues until Big Brother states the One Minute Rage is over.

GOOD NEWS – ENDURANCE ROFL
In Good News, pieces of good news are delivered via pre-recorded VTs. The good news delivered comes into effect from the moment the VT finishes. It is up to the Positivity Police to ensure that all the good news delivered is followed by the rest of the Housemates. The first good news VT of Day 2 is that the Housemates must take part in a ROFL. Housemates must continue to ROFL until otherwise notified by Big Brother.

DANIELLE’S LESSON IN POSITIVITY
Big Brother has noticed that Danielle is quite a negative Housemate with some quite strong views. Therefore, Big Brother will call Danielle to the Diary Room. In the Diary Room, Danielle will be showed on the plasmas a series of topics for which she has some quite negative views. So as not to incur a fail for the task, Danielle must list to Big Brother all the positives about these topics that she can think of. Topics include:

· A plate of peas

· Snoring

· Creepy Crawlies

· Provocative Clothing

· Swearing

· Casual Sex

HAPPY GO LUCKY
Big Brother has some happy news. Ash, Marlon, Ashleigh and Kimberly, as the four Housemates who have not received their suitcases yet, will take part in Happy-Go-Lucky, a game where Housemates must individually face the ‘Positivity Spinner’. The large Positivity Spinner is put into the Living Room. On the wheel are various sections, each with a different category on it. One at a time, Housemates will press the buttons on their plinth to take a go at the Positivity Spinner. On the wheel are lights on each individual segment/category. Whichever segment the wheel lands on (highlighted by the light on that section) will correspond to the punishment the Housemate must now endure.

Housemates will be playing for each other’s suitcases. Therefore, if one Housemate refuses to do the punishment allocated to their section on the wheel, a different Housemate will not get their suitcase back. The rounds include:

· IT’S ALL GONE – one Housemate must wax his leg

· DEEP CLEANSE – one Housemate must pour a bucket of fishy gunge over themselves in a bath

· HIGH RATING – one Housemate must publicly admit which Housemates they find sexy by ranking the Housemates in order of sexiness

· BREATH EASY – one Housemate must brush their teeth with a wasabi toothpaste concoction

UNFUN FAIR
In this big set piece, 6 Housemates must face The Unfun Fair in the Garden. 6 Housemates will compete in the Unfun Fair as 3 pairs. Each pair of Housemates will need to complete a disgusting assault course, with the rest of the Housemates watching on. Housemates must collect various Smiley tokens around the course which they believe will eliminate some of the fails that have already been incurred throughout the task. Housemates must simply complete the course before the time runs out having collected all of the Smiley Positivity tokens. The Positivity Police must ensure all Housemates remain happy and positive throughout the assault course, which consists of:

* Housemates must crawl on their elbows and knees through a trough of incredibly sticky gunge which has been disguised as a ball pool. At the end of the gunge trough, Housemates must clamber through the electric tendrils hanging above them which will administer an electric shock. Housemates must collect the smiley tokens from the gunge pit.
* Housemates must then walk over a thin beam which is suspended over a pit of feathers. However, when the Housemates have managed to get half way across the beam, it will start to rapidly rotate, increasing the difficulty for the Housemates. If the Housemates fall off they will be coated with feathers and must proceed to the start of the beam. Housemates must reach the Smiley tokens hanging above the revolving beam.
* Finally the Housemates must face the Steps to Positivity. A giant staircase will have been built in the Garden, with the stairs on a slight angle for added difficulty. Housemates must attempt to reach the top of the staircase to collect their last tokens. However, from the top of staircase gunge is being poured making the staircase incredibly slippery. In addition to the gunge, Housemates will be pelted with gunge bombs for added slipperiness.
