Us viewers will be voting to evict the Big Brother 2014 housemates in this year’s Power Trip twist.

Since moving to Channel 5 the series had ditched its iconic system of voting to get rid of housemates, instead encouraging fans to vote for their favourite.

The housemate with the least votes would leave in each eviction, which would in theory mean that the ‘boring’ characters get ditched while the controversial ones are kept.

However last year that system was swapped out in favour of a return of ‘Vote to Evict’.

And then Sam Evans went on to won Big Brother.

While lots have called for a return to the Vote to Save format, it’s seemingly not returning with Voting details on the new official Channel 5 website saying that the format will be Vote to Evict, unless stated otherwise.

Meanwhile, mobile app voting will again be available for Big Brother this year after being ditched due to technical hiccups in the past.

You’ll be able to buy bundles of votes priced at 2 votes for 99 pence, 4 votes for ÂĢ1.99 or 6 votes for ÂĢ2.99.

And of course you can also vote straight from your landline or from your mobile.

You watch Big Brother. You have opinions about it. So come and be a part of it – and tell us what you think of this year's housemates.

Being in the BBBOTS audience is your chance to get involved with the show. It's a front row ticket to the action, as you'll get to come down and sit in the studio to watch our panel and presenters discuss all the latest developments from the House.

But it's not just about sitting and watching. We want to know what you think, too. Who's being fake, and who's just being themselves? Is that a romance or a showmance? And who do you want to win? If you're in the BBBOTS audience, you can get your face on the box by telling Rylan and Emma what you reckon about what the housemates have been up to.

No two BBBOTS shows are the same – we've got all sorts of surprises and special guests planned, and a whole host of ex-Big Brother housemates, old and new, will be turning up to share their opinions. But this series is all about power, and nobody has more power than you – our loud and proud fans. So come on: tell us what you really think!

If you want to be a part of it, and you’re at least 18 years old, email us at audience@bbbitontheside.com with your name, age, e-mail address and phone number. Or, you can call us on 0333 577 7755. Calls from landlines are typically charged between 2p and 10p per minute, calls from mobiles typically cost between 10p and 40p per minute. Call from landlines and mobiles are included in free phone call packages.

The upcoming series of Big Brother UK will see just 10 hours of live feed, it’s been revealed.

This week welcomes back the series to our screens for the summer with a double live launch show on both Thursday and Friday night.

But we’ll only actually see 25 minutes of live footage from the house both nights, airing from 11:35PM until midnight on Channel 5.

The small segments of live feed will continue throughout the series but won’t even been airing every week.

For example, next Friday evening’s live show won’t see any live feed at all, with spin-off show Bit On The Side airing until ten past midnight.

But there will be a 30 minute segment of live footage from the house on MONDAY evening at 10PM, where host Emma Willis will reveal a “surprise twist” to the housemates, just days after they entered.

Mind games will be taken to the max when it returns to Channel 5 tomorrow.

Housemates with the power will influence, twist and control the show more than ever, and fans will also be given the chance to manipulate events.

Here, TV body language expert Judi James looks back at the top 10 biggest power trippers from Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother.
1 “Nasty” Nick Bateman

Why: The first Big Brother series was won by Craig Phillips but it was Nick who set the direction, lying about his wife being killed in a car crash and getting booted off the show for trying to manipulate housemates’ eviction nominations.
2 Victor Ebuwa

Why: Teamed up with pal Jason Cowan on BB5 to form the Jungle Cats gang and got warned about his role in the infamous Fight Night.

The arch gameplayer, who sparred with the Lipgloss Bitches, said: “I played it like a chess game.”
3 Makosi Musambasi

Why: The drama queen gave fellow housemates and viewers the runaround on BB6, covering up the Secret Garden annex plot and sensationally claiming she was pregnant after a romp in the pool with winner Anthony Hutton.
4 Ziggy Lichman

Why: The memorable hunk famously kept us guessing during his on-off relationship with Chanelle Hayes in BB8. The model even got death threats and was branded a “sly dog” by other housemates.
5 Chantelle Houghton

Why: One of the most popular housemates, Chantelle was also actually one of the biggest manipulators. She convinced the celebs she was a singer with the band Kandy Floss when she was just an ordinary member of the public.

6 Conor McIntyre

Why: Conor settled in as Luke Anderson’s wingman from the start of BB13 and when a task involved them both vying for half the prize money it looked like Conor would let Luke decide the action.

But he pressed the buzzer at the last minute and walked out clutching half the prize money, leaving his mate in tears.
7 Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt

Why: Speidi shook up the CBB house in January 2013 by laying into other contestants, but leaving them guessing whether their bad behaviour was all an act after all.
8 Pete Burns

Why: The lippy star tried to throw his weight around in CBB4 with his acid-tongued jibes at Jodie Marsh and Traci Bingham.

He even had police chasing after him after falsely claiming his coat was gorilla fur.
9 Dexter Koh

Why: Dexter managed to get through 13 weeks of BB14 without once revealing what looked like the true side of his character, fooling housemates and viewers.
10 Jim Davidson

Why: Despite his reputation for controversy, the comedian somehow managed to take the moral high ground while still getting in plenty of barbed comments.

He ended up winning and even his arch-enemy Luisa Zissman was treating him like a father figure.

Big Brother 2014: Power Trip housemates will be fed messages such as task instructions and Diary Room footage on the monitors around the new look house, it’s reported.

Today Channel 5 officially unveiled the futuristic design of the Elstree Studios compound for the new series, which has a ‘technology’ theme, with clean lines and open spaces.

Among the new features are mysterious computer screens – one in each area – which are said to have been inspired by the 2001 Tom Cruise sci-fi movie Minority Report.

It has not yet been confirmed what the monitors are for – but according to The Daily Star, bosses will use them to ‘feed messages’ to the housemates.

These apparently could include task instructions, pictures of nominated housemates, and videos of their friends and family members – or even celebrities.

The new contestants – said to include a male model and a Playboy girl – could also be shown clips of intimate confessions from the Diary Room.

“The big question is can you relax and be comfy in a house like this? Or will you be on edge?” asked the show’s main presenter Emma Willis.

“There are screens and things that the housemates will want to touch and play with all the time and I suspect they won’t be able to relax and will feel they need to be alert and on the ball all the time,” added her Bit On The Side co-host Rylan Clark.

There could be fewer arguments over the shopping on Big Brother 2014 this summer.

The BB housemates usually have an hour to write up a shopping list on a blackboard, leading to all sorts of clashes over who is in charge, and lots of confusion when it comes to adding up the numbers and staying on budget.

But in a sign that product placement is now starting to dictate more and more of the show, this year will see the shopping given a tech makeover to go hand in hand with the new futuristic house.

Housemates will be ordering their groceries online in a product placement deal with Microsoft’s Windows Surface tablets.

And that’s just the first in a string of product placement and sponsorship deals for this year’s brand new series.

Supercasino.com will return as the show’s main sponsors, L’Oreal’s products will be seen keeping the housemates looking fresh and camera ready 24/7, Aquafresh will provide toiletry products, MaxiNutrition will fill the house with protein powder and even the DRINK in the house has been selected to make cash, with Ribena and Old Jamaica’s Ginger Beer Light both getting paid plugs in the house.

I wonder if Channel 5 has seen the guidance on product placements issued by Ofcom on Monday: pages 8 to 12 of Ofcom's latest bulletin:
