Channel 5 has revealed today that Big Brother 2013: Secrets and Lies is set to begin in the week commencing Saturday 8th June.
Advanced programming information released by the broadcaster today confirms that they intend to air the series launch between Saturday 8th and Friday 14th June.
Although a final date hasn’t been determined yet, it appears Thursday 13th is the most likely option, as that night’s C5 schedule is clear between 8.00pm and 00.15am.
Slots have also been marked as ‘TBA’ between 9.00pm and 00.05am on Friday 14th, while 5* is again clear from 8.00pm, with only repeats scheduled in the 7.00pm hour.
These details are currently subject to change, with final schedules expected to be issued next Wednesday

Big Brother 2013 eye

 

We’ve already seen a few glimpses of the eye in the promo trailers, but  here’s the official new look image for the upcoming fourteenth series.

And a rather hot snap of Emma Willis too.

The brunette beauty will be in charge of this year’s show after taking over  from Brian Dowling, and she’s taking her new job very  seriously if the first Big Brother 2013 promo is anything to go by.

This year’s dark eye logo reflects the series, with Big Brother promising  to  be “harder and harsher than ever as the housemates”, subjecting the rather  unlucky wannabes to “countless twists, turns and tough tasks”.

The new logo is made up of a series of doors, a theme throughout this year’s  new look house which includes a “feature wall containing recycled life-size  front doors”

But just what do they all mean?

With Emma out of the way in a slightly different version of the eye, we see  the doors lit up and a pupil made up of various TV screens.

The new series, filmed at the iconic Elstree Studios, will kick off with ‘classic’ Big Brother, featuring members of the public, which will be directly  followed by a celebrity version of the show. The logo will run across both  series.

It’s expected that Big Brother 2013 will launch in the second week of June,  although an official start date has yet to be announced.

I'm the opposite... when I stubbornly watch to the end (last few series have felt like a challenge!), I vow that's me finished with it, then along comes this time of year, and the advert and as soon as I hear that music I'm looking forward to launch night again!

  I travelled down to London for my six month Big Brother psych check up. It felt so weird to be going through that process again and made me a little sad that it was all over. However, after hearing some goss about the house and housemates I can guarantee this series is going to make some interesting viewing!
