DR chair

BIG Brother bosses yesterday revealed the new diary room chair, and warned: “There will be no rest for the wicked!”
The design for this series is a far cry from the comfy furnishings used in previous shows and suggests the room will be no place to relax.
The hard-edged, copper detailing is likely to have this year’s wannabes literally on the edge of their seat.
And the room has been made to look like the inside of a prison cell.
Previous housemates have used the room as a retreat in which to rant about, or hide from, rivals.
But a show insider said: “One look at the chair and they’ll know that won’t be the case. This series is called Secrets And Lies.
“The housemates won’t know if the secrets they spill in the diary room stay secret, or whether Big Brother is telling lies.” http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/vie...ther-hot-seat/

Big Brother to feature secret relatives?

Big Brother could feature male twins as housemates in its new series, Digital Spy has learnt.

Sources have told us that the brothers are being lined up to enter the famous compound when the Channel 5 show returns on Thursday (June 13) - and they might not be the only housemates related.

Could male twins be walking down these stairs on Thursday?

The insiders added that the twins will be entering the house together, meaning there will be no 'swap' twist featured on foreign versions of Big Brother, where one sibling moves in on launch night and regularly changes places with the other in secret.

This year's 'Secrets and Lies' theme is believed to have been influenced by the 'Secret Story' twist used internationally, which has previously seen housemates hiding the fact they are related.

Big Brother FAQs

  • Why is there no live feed online? There will be no 24 hour live feed from the House online. We have decided to focus on the nightly highlights show and on directly engaging with the show's viewers and fans through social media platforms.
Big Brother: Live From The House will return on 5* from 7-9pm Monday to Saturday and from 8-9pm on Sundays. There will also be additional live streaming on Channel 5 following the live evictions.

  • Can I watch video outside the UK? No. Channel 5 is only licensed to make content available to the UK. For more information, please visit the Channel 5 Help section.

  • How do I vote? When voting is open, you can vote to evict a housemate by premium rate telephone call.

  • What numbers should I call? Each housemate will be allocated a 09 PRS telephone number to call from a landline and a 7 digit Mobile Short Dial Code for mobile callers. The numbers for each housemate will be given out during the live show and will be available on the website during voting periods.

  • How much will it cost me to vote? Calls from BT landlines to the vote numbers prefixed with 09 will cost 35p, calls from other landlines may vary and from mobiles will cost considerably more. Calls from mobiles to the 7 digit mobile short code prefixed with 65 will cost 35p from any UK mobile

  • Am I voting to save or evict a housemate? Unless directed in the live show, you will be voting to EVICT a housemate.

  • When do vote lines open and close? Vote lines are opened at the discretion of the editorial team and may open outside of programme times. Notifications may be posted on channel5.com/bigbrother, Facebook and Twitter to advise that the vote is open, and will be announced on air. Vote lines are closed at the times specified on the programme. Please do not call before the lines open or after the lines have closed as your vote will not be counted. Please be aware voting times may change.

  • Can I watch on Demand 5 or other catch-up service? If you are watching Big Brother on Demand 5, following through a website or any other time-shift or catch-up service, you should not vote as the lines may have closed.

  • What happens if I get an engaged tone? Please wait a few minutes and dial again. You should not be charged for an engaged tone.

  • Is there a limit on the number of times I can vote? There is no limit on the number of times you can vote but the eligibility of any vote is at the sole discretion of Channel 5. You should seek the bill payers permission before dialing.

  • I called but received a dead tone? If after dialing the first four numbers of the premium rate number you heard a dead tone - then this means that you are premium rate barred and you should check with your network operator about lifting the ban if you wish to vote in Big Brother: Secrets & Lies.

  • How do I vote by Mobile Short Dial Code? When the vote is open, use your UK mobile phone to simply dial the short number shown on screen. If you call while the vote is open you will hear a message confirming your vote, if you try to call when the vote is closed you will hear a closed non-chargeable message.

  • Can I vote by text message to the mobile short dial codes? No. Mobile short dial codes only accept votes made by phone call.

  • Why can we now vote by mobile short dial codes when we couldn't before? Mobile short dial codes have only been available across major UK networks since April 2012.

  • Why don’t the UK mobile network operators just charge 35p for calls from mobiles to 09 numbers instead of introducing mobile short dial codes? The UK mobile network operators decide the pricing for calling numbers via their networks, including 09 numbers. Viewers are advised to contact their UK mobile network operator if they require more information on their charging rates.

  • Why can't I vote by Mobile Short Dial Codes from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man? The Channel Islands and Isle of Man are covered by separate mobile network operators who do not currently support voting by Mobile Short Dial Codes. Viewers in these regions may still be able to vote by dialing the 09 numbers from their landlines at a 35p rate (from a BT landline) or on their mobile phone incurring higher charges (in the same way as they may have voted in previous voting shows).

  • Can I call a mobile short dial code from my landline? No. Mobile short dial code voting is only available from mobile phones, if you try to call a mobile short dial code from your landline you will not be connected to the voting service and your vote will not be counted. In a very small number of cases, the landline network operator may route the call to a local destination as it may match a local telephone number which may result in a wrong number call being made. Such calls would be chargeable if they are answered.

  • Can I still call the 09 numbers from my mobile? Yes, but it is likely to cost you considerably more than 35p for the call. The 09 voting numbers should preferably only be called from your landline if you have one. If you decide to call the 09 voting numbers from your UK mobile phone then you will hear a non-chargeable message at the start of the call asking you to call the mobile short dial codes instead. If you remain on the line after the message then you will be able to vote for your chosen housemate but your UK mobile network operator will charge you at their chosen higher rate.

  • Who can I contact if I have further questions? Please contact Channel 5 Customer Services.
