Why did BB say Pasta instead of Mario?
Why did BB say Sunshine instead of Sky?

BB singled out Ben for nomination chat when he was put in a position by BB where he needed to justify his private nomination.  Having attempted in his typical blundering baffoon fashion to justify his actions, BB then called Ben to the Diary Room and instructed Ben clearly that the loss of water was entirely his fault.

Let's be clear about this.  Shabby, Caoimhe, Govan and JJ were the housemates named by BB as rule breakers, however BB orchestrated and executed a plan to ensure that tonight's highlights would show Ben in the most negative light possible.  Further more they successfully put strain on the various friendships he's built up over the past week.

BTW What part of the earlier warning had not been made clear enough for Ben

He was stitched up by BB.  He could either say nothing, and allow his haters to revell in what's been revealed, and his friends distance themselves, or he could at least try, having been put on the spot, to try to justify his nominations and salvage the few friendships he has in the house.  This is what he tried to do, and in typical Ben style, he completely blundered it.

Remember that Ben wasn't the one who'd discussed nominations and lost the house their luxury budget.  The guilty housemates were named as Govan, JJ, Shabby and Caoimhe.  However BB chose to reveal that Ben "very likely nominated Sunshine".  None of the guilty housemates had the details of their nominations broadcast.

I really felt tonight that BB was manipulating the edit to show Ben in the worst possible light...others were involved in that noms discussion and they appear to have escaped condemnation, poor Ben copped the lot.
As for the public vote...I think it'll be Dave for the chop, although I would love the GBP to give Gollum the heave ho

Had the discussion between Ben and Shabby regarding his week one nominations been punished at some earlier time then?

I don't know why this is an issue. BB are clearly fixing it to put Ben in the worst possible light but the real issue is that they never intervene when Ben is ganged up on by the others. He's vulnerable and needs protection. Instead BB set up a task that makes him think he is accepted by Shabby so he feels more at ease knowing how upset he'll be when he finds it. This years BB producers are morally bankrupt.

Taken from the BB website:

Despite there being some booze in the House and the other housemates letting their hair down, Ben has decided to opt for another deep and meaningful with Dave.

The gossiping duo are back in the same bed discussing Ben’s time in the House and tomorrow’s eviction. Dave has said that he thinks Govan will go. Ben said that Govan’s behaviour today made him feel ill, ‘what almost made me sick today was the way he was fussing around Sunshine. He knew she was peeved with me and saw it as a chance to score points against us. It was sickening.’

Ben confessed to Dave that he thinks they are both ‘internalizers’ and that if they do both stay how will they cope with the other people in the House. Dave reassured him by telling him that by taking it one day at a time is often the way...

Poor bugger is not having a very enjoyable BB experience.  Worried more about the implications of staying than going.  That's got to be wrong to feel like that...

I totally agree and have just started a similar thread having caught up with the highlights just now.  Sorry but I don't think it clashes with your thread which I didn't realise was there.  I was just purely so boiling angry having watched it and seen everyone blaming Ben for something that horrible group of people you mention were guilty of.

I think he is probably more than capable when in his own environment Deman, but is totally out of his depth with the likes of Shabby & Co.... and just doesn't have  enough *nastiness* in him to be able to deal with it.  What he should have done is told her, and JJ in no uncertain term where to get off, and then ignored them! Instead  of which it has fed into his obvious insecurities, and is therefore forever seeking re-assurance and approval.

In a chat between Ben and Mario the other night Mario said something about their different attitudes to BB which I thought was interesting.
He pointed out that Ben was persuaded to do BB, and treats it quite like a game.
But Mario said that he (Mario) had such a passion for it and wanted to do it for a long time. He said this also applied to a number of other housemates who treat BB much more like reality.
He was comparing the 'game' versus 'reality/real life' approaches to BB, and I see his point.

Plus I am not sure he has got over the booing when he went in, which really shook him.

Loads of people have been booed on the way in (Lea even got her own pee-taking thread about it), but they're generally expected to snap out of it and stop whinging.
We all know that crowd would boo each other if they were told to, it's hardly the considered verdict of 12 good men and true.
