Sam can be quite difficult to understand but considering how little hearing he has, his speech is pretty good.
As for AJ, she has a bit of a lisp, can't pronounce her R's and has a strong regional accent. I don't understand how any producer could think she was an ideal candidate for a tv presenter.

No, she's just selfish.
The marigolds looked like she meant business - suspect that's what Jemima thought too. But they were probably just to save her hands from getting dry or spoiling her nails
