I think BB has been slowly killing itself for 2, 3, 4 years

HELP - i really need to know the dates for BB
I'm organising my hols around it

There was a time when peeps would send SMS messages to me in The Fatherland for every twist and turn. The last two series have been less than delightful and I've had no interest.

I can't wait. I don't really think this forum has many actual fans on it. Someone even posted yesterday that they thought it was finished last year. Not very fan like.



Hopefully I won't be watching it from the outside either.

Let's hope that you make it a classic then.

I think that C4 ensured the bubble burst before they decided to ditch it.

I'm really looking forward to it and have even registered at ds bb just in case this forum is too quiet.
Its the last bb as we know it and I want to experience it fully.

So sad that it's the last one but I'll be there (and here) with a vengeance as always. Who knows - maybe things will pick up on here and there will be threads whizzing through the pages like old times.

I can't do linky things Renton, but the last two years it has started on 4th or 5th of June. Prior to that, it started during the last week in May.

I'm still looking forward to it - I always think I won't, but I always end up glued to it. C4 killed off a lot of people's enthusiasm by butchering the live feed and blatantly manipulating the edit.

Youngest son has just called me a star - because I made him a bacon sandwich and (more importantly) gave him the bottle of Coke I had planked. He's easily pleased.

Earliest start date = 18th May     Latest start date = 14th July


Earliest end date = 25th July       Latest end date = 15th Sept

I've watched from Year 1, I used to get more enthusiastic in the early years than I have for the last few years, but it was so different back in the good ol' days lol. Now I don't feel any interest leading up to it, until it starts then I slowly get into it. Ch.4 have ruined the show by withdrawing things like LF and the extra screens we used to get. They also changed the format of what kind of HM's they chose, but hey ho whenever it starts I know I'll be watching as usual.

That pretty much sums it up for me too YR.
I agree that the channel and the producers have largely themselves to blame for its demise.

Hi Brisket, I wonder if they'll make more of an effort this year as it's the last one, or stick to the usual schedule of the last few years because it's the last one so they can't be bothered to do anything different.

Our only hope is that a new broadcaster wil pick it up and carry it forward with a new format - just like in the USA - their BB is totally diffferent - so it CAN be made to work, sigh
