Mine weren't even cut. They were just manky looking things sticking out of a rock. I dunno what she wanted them for anyway... Laugh

ÂĢ100+ a pop though! I remember reading in some glossy that the best moisturiser (not counting Boots and their protect and perfect serum thing) was Astral. It's like 99p or summat!

But Astral smells like boiled cow carcusses!

Creme de la mer was supposedly invented for treating people with facial scars (I do know this could all be marketing crap, but hey!)

Davina swears by it! Nod

I don't use astral.. unless I have a crafty slather at my brothers... apparently Joanna Lumley has only ever used that and she's not looking too bad on it.

Speaking of cheapy face care.. is it lidl that has some wonder cream (similar to the boots one) for something like ÂĢ1.49...

Davina you say.. Ninja so it's nothing to do with a wafty trip to Harley Street and a spot of 'freshening up' then. . Ninja

I daren't look.. it's going to be expensive I can tell.

I got a burner from a friend for Christmas several years ago (not one of the nasty naff ostentatious ones!) and guess a bit like your Jo Malone candles- just can't go back to 'plug-ins' after that!

you could have kept the jar and filled it with lidls... no-one would have been any the wiser.. Ninja

Syd.... I had my nail scraping round the bottom of the jar... the crevices of the lid, the lot! I know how it feels.

You can get the little tester pots for ÂĢ30 on Ebay! Ninja

I don't believe it when the super celeb beauties say... "oh I only ever use astral/olay/nivea" I just don't! Why would they, when they get loads of lovely freebies in their goody bags every time they go to some celeb event!

And Davina... I doubt its the creme de la mer that makes her glow.... she just glowy... *mutters under breath at the inequalities of glowness amongst women*

I use Creme de La Mer mostly in winter, Ditty, because it is quite heavy (but lush) compared to La Prairie. LP's "Intelligent" moisturiser is much lighter & soaks in quicker Nod

I tried. I really tried to stay out of here Ninja
Would it help if I say I love cheap'n'cheerful Badedas shower gel?

Well, it might, but not sure I'd believe you deegs! Actually I don't mind Badedas. Just discovered a Fenjal one that I won in a charity 'blind auction' and had forgotten about- there's another blast from the past, thought it was 'dead posh' when I was a teenager! Think I'll give it a whirl tomorrow
