Banksy, the graaffiti artist.
Up for an award tonight at The Oscars.
His desire for anonymity rather annoys me.
I have begun to think it is all a bit twee - a bit precious - a gimmick - a spin - a tad childish - false modesty?

I am quite likely wrong. My view is entirely based on intuition, nothing more.

Ben Eine's stuff has gone up in value since Cameron gave Obama some artwork of his as a gift. He's alright but no way near Banksy.

I've no idea what his motives are, tbh, but, if I was brilliant at something, I think I would prefer to be able to get my work out there and remain anonymous. Maybe he feels the same.
