Ooooo that looks quite yummy Thanks El
Yogi is tiddler minding today and tomorrow so may not be around here this evening.
Never made but often thought I might try a Linzertote...chocolate cake topped with raspnerry jam isn't it?
Amythist, the key ingredient in a Linzer torte is chopped/ground nuts. Although jam is used, it's not specifically raspberrry jam. Although chocolate can be used it's not a specific ingredient.
You might be thinking of a sachertorte - that is chocolate. Apricot jam is the traditional jam for that though raspberry jam is an alternative.

I've mixed them up El Loro...I imagined Sachertorte with raspberry jam on top....Linzer torte has raspberry on top with a lattice I think..yes you are right, the base is nutty
