Is so stupid... she is coming home the first weekend... and then three weeks later... and then half term... I keep telling myself all this.... I can't seem to pull myself together.

aw honey, it is as much a massive step for you as it is her

they are still our babies and we walk beside them in whatever they do, she will be fine and you will too, it is just making the initial step.

mine hasn't got up till 12 unless we were going somewhere and then sat on in her pjs on the lappy till about 5

My daughter has been like that...not the son though, he's been going to the gym almost daily in pursuit of the body beautiful.

I think (& hope) its gonna be better when she's actually there...

I got to go wash my face now... and pull myself together.. she'll be back from walking the dog soon.... I mustn't let her see me like this.

i enjoy my daughter being around too BUT after 6 weeks of i'm bored, can i have some money mum, i was quite happy to wave her off this morning

i live right next to a school and i see this happen after every school holiday, theres always 1 parent scurrying back home

at least she looked gawjus

mine has now gone and i have the lappy all to myself

It would have been less embarrassing if the whole school was shut but the rest of the school start today so there were plenty of witnesses to us going to a deserted classroom and talking to a puzzled teacher and doing the walk of shame back through them all!

for me it's getting back into the routine of things, 7 weeks off school means things get a bit mad here! lol he was 'fine' until the last week or so. he's been driving me, my OH and his little brother up the wall

My 7 year old started on Tuesday and he was happy to go back

I was even happier

He and his little brother have been killing each other all summer because of the boredom.

My 3 year old starts in October and I will have a right sob then

Sounds silly but for 3 years he's been with me everyday and I'll miss him terribly

It's usually just me and him in the house so it'll be quiet.

But I suppose I will have some ME time and should think about joining a gym or do a course maybe.
