I was just born so too young for any swinging 

Thing is they are looking back with the benefits of hindsight , and transposing today’s values on the past ....always a danger !

If 'Lower status' was deemed 'BAD, then surely 11 year olds with the idea that they are 'Higher status' is somewhat worse!
