I have a friend with a 12 year old daughter called Esme.

It must be getting more popular now, for people to be suggesting it in here, when my friend told everyone she was calling her baby Esme hardly anyone liked it!

They all said it was an old ladies name.

But then...   there were people that said that about me calling my daughter Molly.

Oh, I love that

But then I like Edie (short for Edith) or Edna

I love Molly (my cousin called her baby Molly Ruth - I was so jealous)

Or Ethel, or Nancy

Not sure I would have the courage to call my two girls by these names ... but you can do it Temps

Also, I think its true of any name..    there have been some quite surprising ones amongst my friends ...    and after a few weeks they all seem normal.
