He gave them to her as a symbol of something considerable more than getting his end away. As she has now scorned his affections I think he has some moral right to the return of the items.

I'm seeing it exactly the same way Marg. Bea is a petty, drama loving minx. Tom was on to her from the get go but couldn't be arsed to play. Isaac is dishing it back to her.

At least she is playing the game not just sitting moaning.

A woman who doesn't care. It's all about Noirin.. remember, what Noirin wants, Noirin gets.. and bugger whether it is right or wrong.. and bugger the consequences.

Isaac thinks Siavash is nothing.. he thinks what happened is nothing.. so any little trinket will be nothing.

Those two make a perfect couple.

If she actually still wants them, it would be odd.

Bea wants them, it's patently obvious to anyone with a semblance of a sentient ontological knowledge.

Why are people people saying it`s Siavash who wants them back?

I`ll re-post the conversation....

Siavash was chatting at the Bus Stop with Bea, Halfwit and Lisa about how earlier this week, he'd given Noirin some valuable earrings. Bea was insistent that he must get them back.

"I can't, that's just ******* rude," argued Siavash. "Just leave the earrings, man."
"It's not rude if I ask!" shrieked Bea. "I think it would be so so rude if she waltzes out with them. Ridiculously rude!"
"You can't give something and take it back," insisted Siavash......

Seems she does? I thought that maybe she just wasn't giving them back yet 'cos it wasn't the right time, but given that Isaac obviously knew about them and was willing to trade his hat for them so that she could keep them????

The fact that Isaac knew does suggest the subject has come up and that she has indicated interest.

I'm not saying people should always return valuable gifts when a relationship ends.

I'm just saying that, in this particular set of circumstances, Noirin should just quietly give the damned things back to Vash.

Given the cringe-worthy embarrassing memories attached to them, I would have thought she wouldn't want to keep them anyway Eeker
FM
Siavash fecked up. He shouldn't have given them away in the first place.
I know I don't expect gifts back from friends/lovers who ever when I give a gift I give a gift.
So stop whinging about it Siavash.
And Bea Butt out it has nothing to do with you, and has Siavash lost the ability to talk to Noirin?
Enough with the pity party Siavash. Get over it.

Bea is a morally guided person, she can see an injustice and she wants to do something about it. Well done her.

Why is that people on this forum and some in society always advocate selfishly looking the other way when some injustice is done unless it affects them? It is a revolting attitude.

Bea is community minded and she wants to right some wrongs. Go Bea!!!

Err it DID mean nothing! Confused

But it would hurt him even more.
At the moment he has been pushed out by her ex boyfriend. Eventually his ego will accept that.
But to hand back his gift would really hurt.

Can be more compicated 'though..long story but a 'good' friend once fell out with me after her husband came on to me big style and he tried to make it out that it was me coming on to him. I'm sure she knew in her heart that I would never have done that, (and some years on, I'm sure she is in NO doubt.) At the time, she posted me a v nasty letter and enclosed all of the gifts I'd ever bought her, sent to arrive on my birthday for maximum impact!

So why mention them to anyone, why did he feel the need to tell them about "the earings"?

There ws a convo prior to this,(on lf last night in the bathroom,) about the earrings. Think Siavash was regretting giving her them and Bea has taken on the mission to get them back for him....perhaps she fancies them herself Laugh or, more likely is using another opportunity to let peeps know what Noirin is like?

I know darling I see your point It is her asking on his behalf, he didn't ask for them back she took it upon herself to stir things Hug
LGS
So last night Siavash told Bea and Marcus, in the bathroom, about the earrings. David wandered in and Bea relayed it to him. Then again at the bus stop today the earrings are the topic of conversation again. Bea wants Noirin to give the earrings back, so why not go directly to Noirin and ask her does she have Siavashs' earrings. Problem solved. But instead Bea wants to made a big song and dance about it, which is embarrasing Siavash to no end. To top it all she makes a point of mentioning the earrings to Isaac. Maybe Isaac just offered Siavash the hat to play Bea at her own game. Didn't someone say that Isaac had met Tom (I didn't hear this myself). So if Isaac met Tom, its safe to say that Tom would have told him that Bea was the biggest game player and would try to undermine him at any given opportunity.
