I have that on my laptop, on my PC Avast, they are both good and free for personal use (make sure to register).
Also "spybot" is good for adaware.

Agreed again, its first rate, although with good (free) firewall and anti virus it shouldn't catch any real nasties.
"Avira!" was recommended to me by my cousins partner,he can strip a comp down and put it together again,he sorted my comp out when it "died" years ago. It's still going strong.
many thanks .. will give that a try
I have used AVG (the free version) and not had any problems.
I use AVG & Spybot.. I have been very happy with AVG
I thought Norton could be bought for around ÂĢ30, it's always being discounted. ÂĢ30 seems a bit expensive and I'm sure it will be priced down soon. I know I'll get slaughtered here, but I've never had any real problems with Norton and my browsing habits are pretty, ahem... liberal.

I pay for Norton - SPOT ON - may look at these alternatives though.
never had any issues with norton, tried getting it cheaper in the shop but they would not move.. not paying 60 quid.. rip off merchants
I suggest you go to some independent sites as regards Norton...it rarely gets a good write up.

*Curious* What do you search for?
I think it's comodo that we use.

I like the fact they all start with "A" trying to get on the first page etc.
