I agree, there will be weak minded people who believe (or semi believe) that the world might come to an end this year, and who knows what those people might do, to themselves or to others if they think they have nothing to lose, , and a leader of a major country comes out and makes that speech...it beggers belief.
It was so random and weird as well...just all round stupid.
A week or two ago I heard someone on Fox News say the world ends on 21.12....I hadn't switched to Fox News as I don't like them but hubby put in the wrong channel thinking it was CNN. Fox obviously have their followers and I thought how irresponsible for them to put that fearful message out that some will believe as they don't do their own research, just sit in front of the tv or internet with the mind of a sheep. I've known something of the Mayan Calendar and the date for some years now as others I know have also and it has nothing to do with the end of the world. It's frustrating that some love to spread a negative message that others believe.
What an absolute moron!! How irresponsible.
