Actually he looked like Dead Elvis

For a while he had a hard man image on BB. Then in walked Tom who made Marcus look like the Pilsbury Dough Boy. Marcus was hysterically jealous of Tom.
He just needs to accept his limitations and not try to punch above his weight when it comes to women. But he's arrogant and stubborn, and always wants what he can't have, and be what he can't be.
This leads to the inner turmoil & broiling anger you can clearly see is bubbling inside him. The guy seems to be permanently seething with resentment & bitterness.

It's completely pointless speculating about someone's life in the outside world. The Big Brother house is a completely different environment. And if you want to say he is arrogant, what about Siavash? You are only looking at people based on looks and not on personality.
One thing I notice about many of the viewers to the show though is that they find it a good platform to air their prejudices by using the show as an opportunity to reflect on various beliefs they have about the world or life in general. Suddenly the viewer becomes a paragon of virtue and truth compared to the HMs who are just held up as bad examples for their views.
Thus the 'punching above weight' argument, which is making love into some kind of class system. If you look at people equally on the show you would say Noirin doesn't actually deserve that much anyway, maybe Ken or Kris. In other words that's looking beyond purely surface appearance to character. But then again maybe Noirin is better on the outside. Either way it will be HER who judges who she should have relations with and not anybody on here. Exactly the same with Marcus.

Maybe you missed the part when Marcus himself has openly admitted (in the Big Brother House) that he always gets the girls he doesn't want, and not the ones he does. He's even said his mates advise him to try and settle for less.
And why is it pointless to speculate about an HM who has plonked himself on my TV for me to "perceive" what makes him tick? What I think of Marcus will make no difference to his life. I'm just commenting on what I sense about him, and I'm making these comments in a BB Forum.
I M O, the long periods of brooding solitude & the miserable killjoy attitude is not a persona he's come up with solely for the purposes of BB. There must be underlying RL reasons as to why he behaves the way he does in there.
FWIW I have no respect for Siavash as an HM either. Or Bea. Or Noirin. Or Lisa.

I think you might be taking this thing far to serious... its a game show and not REAL LIFE it will be over in a few weeks and non of us will give a flying fig about BB10
Unless your Marcus Mum of course
.
Watching him in the garden last night if anything was quite sad, I thought he was going to go over the wall, then I then thought is he was going to go into the bedroom and cause trouble, covering his head and walking around the garden was unnerving.
I watched him last night and was quite disturbed
by the way he was acting. Or maybe not acting
would be a better description. It was like a
zombie state with sinister undertones. Gawd,
I sound like a crime writer.
But honestly, last night's Marcus was distinctly
different from the Marcus of the last few days
when he seemed withdrawn (understandably). I
was worried for him, I hope BB is monitoring
him closely.

I think that's a distinct possibility. I'm sure security last night was on red alert.

I hope so Soozy, he really concerned me last
night.
I can't believe I'm saying that about a hm I've
liked least in the house.

I hope he finds a really lovely girl, settles down and has the thing he wants, family and somebody who cares for him.
he needs to stop punching above his weight. Or cut his hair.. or both

Rubbish ,I have supported Marcus when others were on the attack, I have written many times that he is the voice of reason in the house ,but since the kiss ,he has been strange ,last night he was not entertaining himself, switching off his microphone ,putting his blanket over his head and mumbbling to himself as he paced the garden, when Roddy and Charlie came out after BB announced to the house for Marcus to switch on his mic he said "Even Roddy knows what I am doing ,naughty BB, he then wennt on to tell them about things being in the garden that ought not to be there Black things, and one thing plus the black thing makes a bigger thing, they thought he had lost his marbles and so do I .Cheersquote:Originally posted by Free Thinking:
The place where people sometimes play to the audience is in the DR (see Charlie).
Outside of that I think it's normally HMs just trying to entertain themselves so they aren't bored. So the OPs post is just the usual prejudiced bile against a HM.
