I know the thing you mean, I've used one before too I don't think they do have them outside the bank but some cash machines do let you deposit money. The trouble is, you gotta try them all to figure out which ones allow it

Yes, but I found they don't give you enough time for each stage in the process.

 

Having said that, it was quite a long time ago, so maybe they've improved things.

I thought all of them allowed you to deposit Well, Nat West does anyway, and provides an envelope!

It was Lloyds TSB I was using (in the middle of Motherwell)....and they too, provided an envelope.

I'll just go IN tomorrow now ... i fell asleep LOL

Just be careful where you're depositing Renton...And remember....a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

All Santander ATMs let you deposit cash and cheques, although you have to deposit them separately.  But I don't think I would feel comfortable getting cash out of my purse to put in the ATM if I was using a machine in the street.
