I will need to give it a couple of episodes to see how I feel and need to re watch the first episode again. It does have a very familiar feel to it and as yet I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing 

I've recorded but not watched it yet.. .I am so wanting something to replace my need for more Merlin but am worried I'll be disappointed... plus the trailers I've seen are not my idea of Atlantis. .tho that is now a tad skewed after the portrayal of it in Stargate Atlantis

oh that makes me feel better. . it looked far too fantasy world to me in the trailers..  I'd prefer the more Sci-Fi type Atlantis, as I imagine it would have been, with advanced technology etc.. 

I have just one question - did they have butternut squash in ancient times cos there were a lot of them knocked over from that fruit and veg stand in the market place 

   that whole scene was a complete fruit and veg massacre... and not one person said 'I carried a watermelon'      I liked it, Hercules and Pythagoras make me chuckle.

I liked it but it shouldn't be called Atlantis, it's more like Jason, as in Jason and the Argonauts.. I was expecting a City with advanced technology type stuff, this is just  tales of very olden day myths .. I so wanted a sci fi version of a proper Atlantis. .

The pig is Hercules....it's obvious - well if you know your mythology!

I'm a week behind, but I do enjoy this.  One question though (or two) - how come Jason doesn't seem at all perturbed at finding himself back in ancient time and even talks like them.   Hercules sounds more 21st century than he does!

He was at first....until the Oracle told him that he and his father were originally from Atlantis themselves.

Most people would tend to sound like the people they live amongst, after a while. Especially if they weren't that different to start with.
