OH has just rung me from home, to say a letter had arrived from the hospital. My shoulder op is now scheduled for Monday, Feb 1 at 7am. So barring any more mishaps, it's a date with Doctor Knife..

Awww, katty - poor little Elwood
My four are still going strong, although Coleman has been looking a bit scrawny and ratty for a while. We thought he might not make it to Christmas because he was under the weather for a few days, but it seems he just had a cold. He's still tearing around, as are all the others. They're not far off the two-year mark either.

Oh Deman at least you have a firm date. I'm so glad that at least a little of the worry will be eased and you're going to be brand new after the op. All the best Missus, We still have you here for a while yet
That's good news Deman - let's just hope there are no cancellations.
Do you prefer Deman or Toid - I call you both and notice that you are called both too
You can call me whatever you like

Christ knows what I'll be like when anything happens to the rabbits.

I always have a good cry whenever any of mine go too, Katty and Ditty. I'm glad there are peeps around here who know they're never "just a hamster".
We've had a hamster (chippy), a rat (Buffy), the guinea pigs (Mario & Luigi)... and its heartbreaking every time.
My Dad nursed Buffy for me when she had a respiratory infection (I was ill myself at the time)... he nursed her round the clock, and it devasted him losing her.
& then there was Clyde the Rabbit (who died like elvis... on the loo/litter tray)...
it just hurts too much!

Let's hope the surgeon doesn't get stuck in snow this time.
Good Luck with it Demantoid, just imagine how great you will feel not to be burdened with pain after it's healed up
