How the BBC make a non story into something which they stick on the main news.

During the floods a submerged car has been featured on news reports and as the BBC put it no one knows the owner, but today they reunited the car and owner.

Correct me if I am wrong, but one look at the number plate would give them enough info to have found out who it belonged to long before now.

Poor BBC, very poor indeed.

Yes I'm pretty sure they can. The management company where I live used to request driver details of cars parked illegally in our parking space and they apparently paid a small fee to the DVLA.
