I agree that Ashes to Ashes is not a patch on Life on Mars. I thought I was the only one who thought that Eeker

LOM was BRILLIANT. 1973 Manchester WAS another world to the one we have today and John Simm made his character credible. 1980's London just isn't so alien and Alex Drake is a rubbish character.

IMO no matter what date all that London is unworldly.

IMO the first Ashes to Ashes was terrible. This one seems better to me.

It's better but still a long way off the quality of LOM.

well look on the bright side, the american version of life on mars was cancelled mid season so only 16 of the planned episodes were made they were however allowed to make a 17th to tie everything up.

it was strange as some of the stuff was toned down yet other stuff was more violent, i must say it was realy enjoyable right upto that final 10 mins of the last episode (the bit that explained everything) boy was that different to the ending of uk season 2 but it was obvious that it wasnt made up, that realy was the intended ending for the show.

maybe lom usa will come over here on some obscure cable channel.
