Arron Lowe [Big Brother 2012)

Big Brother 2012 housemate Arron Lowe has said he’s not afraid of being put  up for eviction, suggesting that the public will save him.

The first round of nominations are currently underway, and its still what all  the housemates are talking about.

“I don’t like to discuss nominations,” Arron said, although to us it seems to  be the only thing he’s spoken about recently.

He went on: “I’m definitely not influenced. I’m not even bothered.”

Conor replied: “It’s a game, anyone who f**ks me off, that’s it, you’re in  the firing line.”

Arron insisted he wouldn’t care if people nominated him, saying: “The public  will want to keep me in, I f**king hope so anyway, I’m not afraid. At the moment  you want to stay in as long as you can with people you like.”

Conor agreed, adding: “There are some people I can’t get on with.

“Anyone who gets on my nerves are going to be in firing line, I don’t care if  they come up to me saying sorry.”

Hope we get another Sezer moment

I'm hoping that's true Erin because the tweenies tend to vote for who's the fittest regardless of how nasty/horrible they are

Not voted yet but thought I saw they were 33p in some small print at the end of a show last week.

Channel 5 has increased the price of Big Brother UK Facebook voting, it has emerged, with single votes going up from around 7p to 31p.

Since the system was launched last year, one vote has cost users one Facebook Credit, which is worth roughly 7p in GBP*. However, as of the new series, one vote will cost 5 Facebook Credits – which equates to roughly 31p*.

The price of discounted vote bundles has also been increased. A bundle of 50 votes has gone up from 40 Credits (£2.52*) to 225 Credits (£14.04, or 28p each*) – while the 100 vote bundle has gone up from 80 Credits (£5.06*) to 450 Credits (£28.08/28p each*).

The 12 vote bundle (10 Credits/63p*) has been replaced with 5 votes (25 Credits/£1.56*), and the 24 vote bundle (20 Credits/£1.26*) has been replaced by 10 votes (45 Credits/£2.81*).

The new charges bring Facebook voting more in line with telephone voting, with each premium rate call charged at 36p.

Meanwhile, Big Brother is set to become the latest show to employ a new technology called ‘Mobile Short Dial Codes’, which was first used on BBC One’s The Voice UK.

The system gives mobile phone users seperate numbers to call to cast their votes, which guarantees them a fixed price (35p). This eliminates the need for ‘mobiles will cost considerably more’ disclaimers on the show.

Yesterday, bbspy was told that a Twitter voting application is also in development.

*All GBP prices mentioned are approximate and are subject to changes in the USD exchange rate
