Oh, it can be frustrating.  We had an on-going saga with trying to buy a kilo of walnuts, of all things.  Each time I ordered 1 kg of walnuts, we would just receive one single walnut.  My o/h got quite irate after a while, though I found it hilarious.

the weights thing is a nightmare....

One xmas we ended up with a duck the size of a pigeon... but enough sprouts to feed the whole village.

I am the only one in our family that likes sprouts!

Fab - I ordered a 6 pack of Walkers Prawn Cocktail crisps couple of weeks ago or I thought I did. They substituted it for a SINGLE pack of Skips. Then I realised what I had done, I had ordered a SINGLE pack of Walkers crisps.

Again....my family thought I was mental. As I shouted to my daughter tonight, she will feel my pain when she will eventually do online food shopping herself.

I've given up trying to order lamb or beef online, I can hardly feed myself on what they give me or try to. It usually goes back and I say to the family....take away tonight then!

I used to have an Electron card.... I got used to going up to the til in every shop I went in to see if they actually accepted it before even looking around.

They changed it to a normal Visa Debit card now.

I remember C&A accepting it and I was dead bloody excited!

Oh... I made my mother upgrade her make up....

she'd worn cream pale blue eyeshadow for the whole of my childhood... by the time I reached my teens I introduced her to other styles other than the Abba one she loved so much!

My cousin got married a month ago and I GHD'd my mum's hair and my 22 yr old niece did her make up. I had to remind my mother who was getting married!

I never had any trouble with my Electron card, but like Ditty, it's a Visa Debit card now - even LESS trouble.

Don't know if I've ever had posh stuff, What constitutes POSH?

My posh stuff is now Clinique Fluff, I know there are more pricey stuff out there but this suits me right now.

Ah well. In that case I've probably never had 'POSH' stuff.

Oh it's not too bad, it does last. Today I ad to go and buy some moisturiser and I mentioned to the Clinique lady that my compact powder box was coming apart cos the hinge had broken but there was still loads of powder in it.

She said bring it back and we'll replace it....result!

My 'had to shop at Debenhams cos they take electron' make up was usually Lancome.  And YSL (Touche Eclait), and a bit of Clinique (they do the glossiest nail polish).

I discovered a whole new level of posh when I was sent off to Liberty's to do my pre-wedding shopping with pristine never before used credit card though!   Sooooo extravagant... Laura Mercier, Prescriptives, and other stuff I should so not have blown untold money on.

I couldn't help myself..... once I got started it gathered momentum!  

I do still have some of the stuff... the Laura Mercier stuff lasted ages and ages... but posh to me these days is No.7... (& YSL... touche eclait)  when I can be arsed to wear make up at all!   HAHAHA!   pre wedding - Liberty's finest.... post-wedding... a bit of Boots own brand if anything at all!

Someone bought me a bottle of that yellow dramatically different moisturiser by Clinique once.... my face didn't like it at all!

I used it up on the dry skin on my elbows

That's the moisturiser I use and bought today Ditty!

I thought it might be Q!  

Loads of people swear by it (hence why someone bought me a bottle).   But nothing has ever brought me out in spots quite like that stuff did!

My  mum says the same about most products, she swears by Orifalme these days.

I remember my old boss, when I did hairdressing from the age of 16-21, swore by Oriflame.

I've heard of Oriflame.... blast from the past that one!   Wasn't it sold in the same way as Avon or Kleeneze?

Probably, never asked my mum. But I do remember with my boss, it was an agent that sold it, so I assume it's the same.
