I always avoid the royalist politburo at these times.  What particularly winds me up is the endless toadying guff that elevates the mundane to superhuman virtue if it's the Queen.

For example, the Queen 'enjoying' her own celebration - even though it's raining!  Wow, enjoying a parade in your honour, what a chore that must be!  Yet these are held up as a massive virtues and why she's so loved.

Clearly the media expects everyone  to regard the fact that the Queen isn't some type of Joan Collins/Imelda Marcus prima donna super-bitch who can't be arsed to turn up at her own b****dy parade because it's raining as an outstanding virtue?  It's so pathetic

A bit like expecting a boss to give their workers a pay rise every time they turn up for work on a chilly day.

Extremely Fluffy Fluffy Thing

As I may have said elsewhere. It's a mixture of the finest optional entertainment and the Marxist concept of Bread and Circuses. You may have me at a  disadvantage since I wasn't watching, however if some people

 get off on it

 and enjoy themselves

let 'em get on with it.

No doubt a bunch of mean spirited people will also have a bit whinge when the year's major two match a day event starts on Frider.

I believe it was Frank himself who said.....

"Do what you wanna, do what you will Just don't mess up your neighbor's thrill."
