I am a full supporter of Ducky's bubble..   its her survival strategy and it works damned well!     I have borrowed her bubble now & then, and it does help.

The other survival strategy that we both use is humour & laughter....    she's pulled me out of a dark place tonight with the power of stupidity & giggling

Velvet - I'm not happy at the moment either...    life can be completely shit sometimes

It changes your life.

It's not a competition. I bet there are so many people here who emphasise with you but few who would trade places.

You say it changes your life. From what you say it's not for the better but I bet if you put your mind to it and with a lot of support you can turn that around

I can't even begin to understand VD, but I hope I can nearly 'half' understand, given I lived so many years with with my dad's manic depression

Well thank you, Supes.  I'm fortunate to have turned a complete 360.  But then again, everything got sorted because I could.  Some aren't so fortunate.

That corny adage of being in the gutter (literally!) but looking at the stars applied; I just took my chance.  I never had health issues to hamper me.

I am eternally grateful.

I knew that Cosi, without you saying! That's why I said what I said......bit of luck, bit of judgement, coupled with a loving family who liked you and supported you.... means a lot

Can't be arsed to scroll back to quote, but I will say this: Those who feel shit about themselves often have pops at others to make them feel better about themselves; I have every sympathy with those who have had shit childhoods, but, there has to be a point when, they're not children anymore and can't keep 'on about that'......Does that make me sound like a heartless bitch?

i think she was probs just weary of my happy face day in and day out...

always looking on  the bright side and being cheerful, it can be very wearing.....

i also sing, off key , in the mornings.
