I was in JD sports buying football boots and the bloke said would your son like some football socks to go with them

Got a goose to pick up tomorrow afternoon in Holland Park, but that's on my way to my parents' tomorrow so no big deal and then on Monday I'm sending my kids out in pairs to hand out my neighbours' gift bags so as far as I'm concerned I@M DONE 

Ells  You so remind me of what it was like when mine were little. I liked the chaos though ...it made Christmas more exciting!

I'm fairly well ahead for a change. Waiting for one pressie to arrive and I've got a few bits left to wrap and the boys stockings to do (never do them till Christmas Eve).

I'm cooking for ten on Sunday so can't really think about the BIG shop till Monday - pick up Turkey at 2.30 Monday then it's the BIG SHOP. Taking my son and his partner - they make the queuing fun and are the best packers in the world.

Still got neighbours cards to do!

This concept is a new one on me - even my lappy collapsed with shock!

I am now compiling my shopping list and sending the men tomorrow  my Lad is a good shopper and enjoys it   I trained him well 

butchers and local farm shop on Monday and I shall be finished - had a good baking session today - the whisky and orange mince pies are to die for - I have hidden some for after crimbo  when I do enjoy all the tit bits more 

everything has seemed so easy this year with not a lot of pressure and still 4 days to go

He came home at 10:45 minus the wine but with vodka instead...no mixer for me though.  He says oh I forgot, I'll go get it now.    It's a bit late now!!

finally booked the hol today (oh yeah..   cos there is last minute & there is last minute )

we are off to egypt - fly out on Monday morning, for a week..   messing around snorkelling in the red sea...      I am only going to surface on christmas day to drink pina coladas..   

oh & I will ring my dad..    (who, I am being assured, is going to be fine.. my brother is coming up)   I did try & get him to come with us..   but he's not ready for that yet..   for being a single person in a family group..  

anyway..  before I go off in that morbid direction..     

AM OFF ON HOLIBOBS!!!     

I will be excited when we're on our way..   at the moment I am stressing a bit about leaving my dad and about putting Loki into kennels *gulps*

I'm not drinking the vodka.....he didn't bring me any lemonade for it and I can't drink it with coke.  Poor me.

I don't think Dad is that fussed which of them goes where..  just so long as they don't end up in the same place for a week..  

Loki loves my Dad..   and my Dad is definitely, despite trying really hard not to, falling for Loki..    

he's still enjoying having a bit of time off from mental puppy sitting
